With unusually warm winter weather this weekend, the pool at Southbank was very popular today.

Southbank Parklands are in the heart of Brisbane city. They were created on the land where International Expo 88 was held. On the banks of the Brisbane River, they are opposite the Brisbane central business district and attract thousands of locals and tourists. There is a very large lagoon pool complete with lifeguards, many cafes and restaurants and craft markets are held there weekly.

DOING A CANNON-BALL WEARING MY BOOTS, WRANGLERS, A SHIRT, A JACKET AND MY HAT. WHAT A BLAST THAT WAS! OK, Jumping in won't get me any wetter than I was so why not swim "as is"? If you've never done a cannon ball this way you MUST try it. Hitting the water is awesome!
