This is my 2 year old daughter Emme. My wife and I adopted her from Zhanjiang last year. Here she is playing in her pool.

This place is cool.. my family comes here every year. This is one of the largest pools in the world, it's uncholorinated (water is replenished 5 times a day!), and it's WARM (the smaller pool on the far end is actually quite hot), all geothermally heated.
more pictures from Laura and Wayne's wedding. They had a pool party after the reception. :) FUN stuff!
Abyss Pool is a 53-foot deep beauty spot along the shore of Yellowstone Lake at West Thumb. In August of 2022 - on the very day I happened to be visiting West Thumb - it made the news when a park employee found a shoe containing part of a human foot floating in it. I, and I imagine all the other visitors like those on the boardwalk to the right, were at the time oblivious to the incident.
The park service has not updated the original press releases. Interestingly I can't find any details about the July 2022 death referenced in the news stories about the incident.

The shadows are of me, and of the railing on the boardwalk that permits viewing of this hot thermal feature from a safe spot.
