One of the many geothermal jewels in Yellowstone's West Thumb Geyser Basin. Abyss is the deepest pool known in Yellowstone and received its name for its abyss-like depth.
West Thumb Geyser Basin is one of the smallest geyser basins in Yellowstone yet its location along the shore of Yellow-stone Lake ranks it as the most scenic.
One of the deeper hot springs in the park, Abyss Pool descends to 53 feet (16 meters). It varies from turquoise blue to emerald green to various shades of brown.

Today is a blue day at Color My World Daily Group and music is the theme at Looking close on Friday fabulous Group.
I’m super busy lately (at work and at home !!) so I had to take this emergency picture this evening… As you can imagine (and I’m pretty much sure you already figured it out) I’m rather bad at planning… and this weekend we have a swimming pool installation in my backyard so I’m beyond busy lol
As for my picture I had to improvised. We do have plenty of music related items at my house, but they are mainly very technical and electronic items which, in my eyes, don’t fit well for the theme. I don’t see “music” when looking at all my husband audio machines in his studio…. But yet, I not a musical person at all. My ear is all but musical.

The rear DPU on B65111 crosses over the trestle at Pool Point. In a couple miles, they'll hold for a work window at Towers.
A natural pool at a cove just south of Sepoc Point and Beach (visible in the right background) in Maricaban Island, Tingloy, Batangas. The 4 coves to the south of the latter is sometimes called Apat na Lagusan.
The Champagne Pool is a prominent geothermal feature within the Waiotapu geothermal area in the North Island of New Zealand. The terrestrial hot spring is located about 30 km southeast of Rotorua and about 50 km northeast of Taupo. The name Champagne Pool is derived from the abundant efflux of carbon dioxide (CO2), similar to a glass of bubbling champagne. The hot spring was formed 900 years ago by a hydrothermal eruption. Its crater is around 65 m (213 ft) in diameter with a maximum depth of approximately 62 m (203 ft) and is filled with an estimated volume of 50,000 m3 (1,800,000 cu ft) of geothermal fluid.

Il est connecté à la source chaude Chromatic Spring. En effet, lorsque l'eau de l'une des deux sources monte et déborde, le niveau de l'eau de l'autre diminue. Ces variations se déroulent sur des périodes allant de quelques semaines à plusieurs années. Au cours de ce changement d'énergie, les températures peuvent varier d'environ 6 °C. Sa température varie entre 73 et 79 °C.

Image taken at the Christian Science Plaza in Boston, MA. The grounds along side the building are adorned by gardens, a fountain and a stunning 670 foot long reflecting pool.
The reflecting pool, designed by the firm of renowned architect I.M. Pei, is so large that the curvature of the Earth had to be taken into account to keep water from spilling over the sides.
The fountain design includes a cast-iron gate with 2-inch opening that allows 180 water jets to shoot directly out of the ground.
