(though I hasten to add that up until this moment I was helping) the pool at the Santa Fe (NM) Hilton. It opens at 7 am every day in the summer; winter began just this week, but they kindly agreed to open it at 7 am for two more days.... what with the altitude and the chilly air (under 40 F), it was an invigorating start to the day.

I was thrilled when I discovered an abandoned pool near my place and had great plans to shoot some cool "underwater" shots. Alas, I couldn't get inside and had to zoom in, paparazzi style.
This was the best shot I could get hanging over the fence.

In case you are wondering what a golden retriever will retrieve while in our swimming pool . . . Glinda prefers magnolia leaves. We do appreciate her helping out around the yard!

The pool was quite cold, much more so than the sea. It also suffered from really horrid thump thump thump noise pollution from large speakers much of each day. Analogous to creeps on jetskis ruining beaches for the vast majority. We preferred the beach by far.
