🇺🇦A Print for Ukraine🇺🇦
Each Friday I post a discounted image for sale to benefit the children of Ukraine.
100% of the proceeds from the sale of 🇺🇦A Print for Ukraine🇺🇦are donated.
This week's print for Ukraine is number 19 in the series. It is called "Inflection Point." This is the concave facade at the northwest corner of the Rainier Square Tower in Seattle, Washington. (It is visible from the intersection of 4th Avenue and Union Street.) Through Thursday July 21, all proceeds from the sale of Inflection Point go to UNICEF for the benefit of Ukrainian children. It is available on my website here: www.brianmoorefoto.com/ukraine
A long exposure from a recent trip to Cobbolds Point. On first inspection I considered this image to be over exposed but on taking a second look I thought it perhaps wasn’t that bad after all.

Neist Point Lighthouse on the Isle of Skye, Scotland. Most people shoot the lighthouse from the cliff top, but this means the lighthouse sits below the horizon line. I wanted the lighthouse breaking the horizon, so I went down to a lower vantage point to capture this shot.
A few weeks ago I went up to the Point No Point Lighthouse area and saw tons of Bonaparte's gulls. They act a lot more like terns than gulls, constantly flying around on the hunt and rarely taking long breaks.
Cullernose Point Northumberland.
i popped up the coast in search of dark skies and a possible Aurora - but ended up with cold toes and a couple of shooting stars

Lime point lighthouse under the north tower of the Golden Gate bridge is a fascinating spot and made a great subject this morning as I was waiting for the sun to come up. This rusty looking structure is quite off limits to the public but I have seen people over there from time to time.
Lime Point Lighthouse has been in place since 1883, half a century before the GGB was built.
I used my 67 300M* f/4 lens, adapted to the 645D.

This is the third image I have made using Zerene Stacker software. After improving my technique, I hope to use this software to produce better and more dynamic images. This particular shot was taken during the time I had before getting in to the main reason for this trip, which was more of a scouting and learning mission for a new project.

Lizard Point, is Britain's most southerly point. The area is famous for its dramatic cliff walks, wild flowers and geological features. The point is a spectacular location with steep cliffs and stunning views.
The Pigeon Point Lighthouse with its fresnel lens lit. In this yearly ceremony, they turn on the light for 5 minutes and let it stay stationary - the beams reaching out into the night sky. After that, the light will slowly turn for two hours until the shut it off.
Took this shortly after it was lit this year, while the light was still stationary.
PP: Slight exposure adjustment and crop.

Wow - thank you all for taking the time to look at my photo and for your very supportive comments! As you know, there were a ton of us out there. Check out what everyone did - there are some dynamite photos out there.
A Sunday morning dawn shoot at Potters Point during the long weekend. Spring has sprung with some seriously warm conditions for this time of year with 30C+ temperatures.
Shooting from the cliffs today as one of my cleats broke but the rick shelf was fairly tame anyway with low tide and swell.
Hard to tell as this shot shows some good movement over 20 seconds.
Sunrise was okay with a few clouds (Saturday had clear skies) but this cloud bank lit up towards the south away from the sun.

Another flashback from my trip to Alaska, this time in Skagway, AK. Such a beautiful city. At the end of the stay someone recommended a small hike out to Dyea Point, boy was it worth it. Do you agree?

PS-It's exciting to note that this image had the "honor" of being chosen by flickr as an "EXPLORED" image- what is EXPLORE ??
Explore is Flickr's way of showcasing the most interesting photos within a given point in time -- usually over a 24 hour period.
Flickr receives about 6,000 uploads every minute --
That's about 8.6 million photos a day!
From this huge group of images, the Flickr Interestingness algorithm selects only 500 images to showcase for each 24-hour period.
That's only one image in every 17,000!
Pretty Cool - huh?
