Polaroidweek Day 1, Photo 2
Shot through the window of Pigeon Point Lighthouse Station along Highway 1 near Pescadero
Neist Point Lighthouse on the Isle of Skye, Scotland. Most people shoot the lighthouse from the cliff top, but this means the lighthouse sits below the horizon line. I wanted the lighthouse breaking the horizon, so I went down to a lower vantage point to capture this shot.

This is the third image I have made using Zerene Stacker software. After improving my technique, I hope to use this software to produce better and more dynamic images. This particular shot was taken during the time I had before getting in to the main reason for this trip, which was more of a scouting and learning mission for a new project.

Cullernose Point Northumberland.
i popped up the coast in search of dark skies and a possible Aurora - but ended up with cold toes and a couple of shooting stars
Taken on Lake Couer d'Alene, Idaho. The contrast between the Point and Mineral Ridge in shadow across Wolf Lodge Bay caught my eye.
Rhubarb gets ready for action, just in case things turn sour...
Nolton Haven & as gloomy as it gets without rain, which arrived shortly after this was taken. Some work was required in Camera Raw to recover the clouds & increase the contrast.
On the mouth of the Fraser River in the historic fishing village of Steveston BC, just south of Vancouver. A great place to fly kites, picnic, walk your dog, run, cycle, contemplate, lie on the beaches, fish, watch passing fishing trollers, sailboats, and ocean vessels, and to enjoy the glorious sunsets and wild flowers—and in cold enough winters, to ice skate on the pond surrounded 360 by amazing views of ocean and mountains.
Another flashback from my trip to Alaska, this time in Skagway, AK. Such a beautiful city. At the end of the stay someone recommended a small hike out to Dyea Point, boy was it worth it. Do you agree?
Claire is a friend of Marnie's from over 20 years ago. She came to Vancouver for 1 month and changed her stay until she sees about getting into UBC.
Marnie is the Bride in the wedding I shot out in Calgary last summer. She lives in rural China working at an orphanage with her new husband Jian.
Approaching dusk, the Laurel-Bozeman is tackling the pass with help from a helper set on the point of the decently-sized train.

Point Lonsdale back {Ocean} beach, Low Tide.
8:11 pm, waiting for the sunset I decided this image in black & white [Fuji switched to monochrome +R] may be something a little different for later viewing.

Looking back from the smaller light "Winkie" toward the foghorn and Point of Ayre lighthouse. There is no beach as such here as the currents off the coast wash any sand away leaving pebbles most of which are rather large,
Northernmost point in the Hawaiian Islands. No longer in use due to solar powered LED lights now, but incredibly beautiful. During the winter it is a great place to watch migrating whales.
Spent a week in Kauai, Hawaii, the Garden Isle. So lush with lots of rain and not so commercialized. First time to visit there. Will be posting a LOT of photos from our trip. Many just tourist type photos with my basic lens since we were spending time with family.
I like the simplicity of the image and the empty , or is it negative ?, space by keeping the beacon to the right.
