So after spending 26 hours in the line i got my hands on the World's most wanted toy . wait was worth it and now i am totally happy with the iphone 6 plus's camera results. the optical image stabilization OIS works great. the above image is SOOC except crop and signature.
btw Samsung galaxy folks are under insomnia attack and about to release galaxy 10. poor things.

Another image from my recent, although somewhat rapid, venture into the snowy abyss. A few years ago I missed the 'snow images of the season' because even though I had many locations planned, when the snow hit, I had no way of getting to them. Over the past few years I have been exploring the countryside within walking distance of my home during the Spring, Summer and Autumn months. As soon as the snow fell I knew exactly the locations I wanted to visit.

I have come back after another mere 2 months in India and have picked up on how many wide-angle portraits i have of the "unfortunate" ones.
I feel as though they create photographs with an abundance of character which is exactly what i look for-except i can't help but feel bad for exploiting that.
I think i'm just very confused about how to think about the scenario
^^ especially when I pay/tip for a photo-it changes the dynamics

Some 20 plus years ago I made a brief foray into 4x5 film format. Doing it on the cheap I recall having some sort of really lousy no-named field camera, with a slightly better lens. All of this equipment is long gone as a result of my getting away from photography for quite a few years until more recently. Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised to have found the few 4x5 negatives I shot from that time period. Not even sure of the film, but I would guess Kodak Tri-X probably developed with D76. I scanned this image in two passes as my Canon 8800f scanner does not support 4x5 negative size, then 'stitched' them together using Photoshop Elements (a process I find quite amazing) with some final editing using NIK Silver Efex Pro.
This photo is of the 'Hesper' and 'Luther Little' from probably around the mid to later 1980s, two of the last sail schooners built in New England. No longer of use, they were left stuck on the mud flats of the Sheepscot River in Wiscasset ME. Today they no longer exist. I have a couple shots of these ships taken with medium format film which I have previously posted to Flickr. Adding this one to the 'collection'.

Ma toute petite. Elle a bien récupéré, sa laine est bien plus belle et du coup j'espère que sa tonte sera plus facile que les autres années (elle est difficile à tondre car sa laine est très sèche et la tondeuse ne glisse pas bien)
My tiny one. She has recovered well, her wool is prettier and so I hope that her shearing will be easier than in other years (it is difficult because her wool is very dry and the shears do not slide well)

Another version of this majestic ruin for you to enjoy. The left wing, bombed and burned in 1939, is missing. Some portions of the walls, along with a massive foundation (not visible on the photo) still remain and while heavily overgrown with bushes can provide a great vantage point from which converging Vistula and Narew rivers are perfectly visible.
In fact, Narew river flows just behind the granary, the walls seem to rise straight from the water, while Vistula river is maybe 100 meters in front of the main entrance. Both rivers are not really “regulated” here and they both run beautifully wild.
The building proved to be a relatively easy target for the German bombers in 1939. It was huge and aligned so perfectly in a place where the two rivers converged that the smart pilots almost “flew by the wire”. At that time it was used as a storage for the army engineers' material time so it made an inviting target.
It was said that the architect Jan Jakub Gaya made the main gate (or antrance) too beautiful, making it look like “arc de triomphe” for the hated tsar Nicolas I Romanov who, in 1844, was both the Emperor of Russia and the King of Poland (and the Grand Duke of Finland for that matter).
Today we can only be thankful to Gaya since what he had designed, despite heavy damage and merciless passage of time, is still a majestic and beautiful construction, a true sight to behold.
