I'm really enjoying what I call my seasonal colour photography this year. These are the pink opium poppies, a stunning field in the heart of the Dorset countryside.
Its a sunrise spot but they are so brutally early!
We'll see.
By the way does anyone have any tips of seeing through the viewfinder in glary conditions? It makes focusing really awkward.
I think because our May was essentially March in terms of temperature, there are several blooming dogwoods at the arboretum. I am happy not to have missed them all.

It was actually painful to see my lovely porch flowers covered in snow this morning. The pots were too heavy to bring inside so we will wait to see which ones were tough enough to brave the cold, wind and snow that we had. I am still longing for autumn so lets hope it warms again. (Not that great a shot but it was COLD.)
This pink rose was just perfect in every petal. Seldom does one see a flower without blemishes, but none were on this one.
