I was surprised to see this large fall beauty still blooming bright and blossoming near a window at a restaurant I passed by. It drew me over to take this Pretty In Pink capture!

Minhas impressões: a cor é bonita, mas parou por aí. Amei no sol, mas achei na sombra meio sem gracinha, sei lá. Esperava um tom mais vivo, mas isso não é culpa da cor, certo? xD
Outra: entupiu de bolinhas. Como quase todos os esmaltes da Risqué, encheu de bolinha na minha mão. Mas muita mesmo. E durou tipo, 2 dias. Fail pra mim.
Mesmo assim, ainda continuei ansiosa por usar os outros da coleção. Principalmente o lilazinho. xD

Burr Mallow or Caesarweed is an erect subshrub to 1-2 m tall. Leaves are palmately deeply lobed, the sinuses (curves) are rounded. Leaves are downy grayish pubescent with star-shaped hairs, 4-8 cm long. Flowers are pinkish-violet, about 1 cm across, clustered. Fruit is velvety and covered with hooked bristles. The genus name Urena comes from its Malayalam local name Uren. This plant is closely related to Urena lobata, which has leaves with lobes pointed, and not rounded.
Caesarweed is a pantropical weed, having pink flowers like miniature hollyhocks. Many taxonomists now believe it evolved somewhere in Asia. The lobed leaves are covered in star-shaped plant hairs which give the leaves a grayish color and raspy feel. The derivation of the common name is uncertain, but may have come from the Latin caesius "bluish-gray" or caesariatus "covered in hair". The ovary of the flower is five-carpellate. If pollinated, each carpel or chamber will produce a seed. The fruit, about a centimeter in diameter, is a flattened globe and dries when mature. It snaps easily from the plant and each of the five wedge-shaped mericarps separate. The outer surface of each mericarp is covered with glochids, minute hooked spines that cling to fabrics and fur and tangle in hair.
Although it was overcast and really cold today in D.C. , the pull of the cherry blossom was to strong to resist....
