"Queen Elizabeth" pink rose grown in my garden.
These roses are just beautiful, a very delicate pink and they are just starting to bloom with the warm weather.
Check it bigger.
OK, so, I'm not normally a floral photography guy, but I figured I would take advantage of limited time that the cherry blossoms will be in bloom. There are a couple of huge cherry blossom trees at Bellevue's Downtown Park that are just exploding with pinkness and begging to be photographed. So, I obliged with a few shots. This one is from underneath the canopy of blossoms. Very pink and very fragrant. :)
Overhead halogen lighting in my kitchen with the lights out in the area behind the flowers to create a dark background.
this is a pink Ginger Torchflower. The previous post was the red one.The leaves of the torchflower look like Canna leaves. I have seen plants that were 6 to 8 ft tall. The flowers are large too, almost 30cm across.
I have had a lovely day today, I have been in town shopping for the trip to Belfast. I treated myself to a few things which I never do. I don't think I have ever spent that long in town shopping while enjoying myself.
I bit the bullet and got myself some hair dye (thankyou Chinatown for giving me the kick up the backside that I needed), makeup, p.j's, a new bag and purse. Now I have everything for Belfast, I really can't wait.

Cake I made for my friend Jess's 26th birthday.
Cake is a mocha cake with finely chopped hazelnuts.
Frosting is a nutella mocha frosting.
Bottom and large flower on top are made from a big chocolate chip cookie with some white chocolate chips and chopped hazelnuts.
Pink and white frostings are a traditional buttercream.
Butterflies and cup handle are molded chocolate.
This beautiful, pink hydrangea has graced our co-op garden all summer and now the vivid pink is fading away. In one more week, summer vacation will be over and I must return to the school library, to my part time job.

Hello Kitty, felt robot, and maid robot are having an important philosophical discussion.
This was a commissioned felt robot. I wanted to take some pictures of it to highlight it's awesome pink belly before sending it off.
Black Friday the 27th and All kinds of Crazy Humans out there with their little Rugrats!
Quickly back to my Cave! :-)
A cascade of shocking pink Dendrobium. This plant was selected to be on display at Orchidfête 2009 held by the Eastern Canada Orchid Society in Montreal, 24-25 October 2009. Like many indoor displays, this one was under several incandescent lights and I had to pass it through Picnik to correct its colours.
Here's the final outfit in this run of my shortest skirts. This is the pink checked tunic/dress. Accessories are pink hair bow, pink scarf, gold jewelry, dark pantyhose and fuchsia pink pumps. Overall, I was very pleased with this session...the outfit looks great and there were only two poses I discarded from the photos.
