Even in the desert, you get beauty growing... a friend brought this for our office. It had such a beautiful smell! It seems there is one patch of grass growing somewhere on camp & in that same area, beautiful roses grow on a bush.

Got some advice on improving this picture, and bring back some of the details on bud and stem that got lost in the process.

I cannot now make up my mind which one I like best, so I leave both on the site. For the time being anyway.

For 52Weeks - Theme Bokeh

Macro Mondays - Theme Spots/Dots

I've been wanting to do a glitter drop picture forever, and when I saw the theme of bokeh I thought this would be an excellent chance to give it a try. I was also having a hard time with this weeks assignment for Macro Mondays. I couldn't find dots anywhere I looked. But then when I took these I thought it fit well as the glitter creates all these little iridescent spots all over the place.

I had a lot of fun taking these. Hope you enjoy :)

A certain little girl's birthday is this weekend. She's asked for pink, and sparkles, and balloons. It doesn't really get any better than that for a 3 year old girl, does it?

All azaleas are rhododendrons but not all rhododendrons are azaleas. True rhododendrons have 10 or more stamens which is 2 per lobe. Azaleas usually have 5 stamens or 1 per lobe. Azaleas have 5 lobes in a flower.

What would he have thought of this ? Probably that the content is more important than the package . Canadian wine is very average and overpriced , terrible value for the money , but at least the labels are starting to be interesting .
