Here is a picture of a slinkie with a pale pink color that I felt fit with the Pastel colors topic.

I realized I do have pink in my home: these flowers I used to decorate the toilet.

Christmas cactus

I have no idea what this is. Can anyone identify this for me?

My pictures were all starting to look white or grey.

Test shot with Leica V-Lux 5 (typ 114).

Roses are a symbol for love and gratitude. As the pink rose was the most prevalent among the old garden roses, it was most strongly associated with these sentiments. While different roses may have more specific meanings, these are still the underlying message of any color rose. Pink roses also now carry a connotation of grace and elegance, as well as sweetness and poetic romance. Different shades of pink also carry their own significance. Dark pink roses are symbolic of gratitude and appreciation, and are a traditional way to send a message of thanks.

OK, so, I'm not normally a floral photography guy, but I figured I would take advantage of limited time that the cherry blossoms will be in bloom. There are a couple of huge cherry blossom trees at Bellevue's Downtown Park that are just exploding with pinkness and begging to be photographed. So, I obliged with a few shots. This one is from underneath the canopy of blossoms. Very pink and very fragrant. :)

Beautiful pink rose in a garden on sunny day

More flower details.

I have had a lovely day today, I have been in town shopping for the trip to Belfast. I treated myself to a few things which I never do. I don't think I have ever spent that long in town shopping while enjoying myself.

I bit the bullet and got myself some hair dye (thankyou Chinatown for giving me the kick up the backside that I needed), makeup, p.j's, a new bag and purse. Now I have everything for Belfast, I really can't wait.

There are at least two pink-ish hand-knit hats that went in that aren't visible here.

As I walked through a neglected field on our farm, I came across this lovely pink weed. Had I not stopped, it would have gone unnoticed, yet still would have blossomed regardless.

Color changed version also posted.

A rose is a perennial flower shrub or vine of the genus Rosa, within the family Rosaceae, that contains over 100 species and comes in a variety of colours. The species form a group of erect shrubs, and climbing or trailing plants, with stems that are often armed with sharp prickles. Most are native to Asia, with smaller numbers of species native to Europe, North America, and northwest Africa. Natives, cultivars and hybrids are all widely grown for their beauty and fragrance.[1]

The leaves are alternate and pinnately compound, with sharply toothed oval-shaped leaflets. The plant's fleshy edible fruit, which ripens in the late summer through autumn, is called a rose hip. Rose plants range in size from compact, miniature roses, to climbers that can reach 7 meters in height. Species from different parts of the world easily hybridize, which has given rise to the many types of garden roses.

The name rose comes from French, itself from Latin, rosa, which was borrowed from Oscan, from Greek ρόδιόν rhodion (Aeolic υρόδιόν wrodion), from Old Persian

this is a pink Ginger Torchflower. The previous post was the red one.The leaves of the torchflower look like Canna leaves. I have seen plants that were 6 to 8 ft tall. The flowers are large too, almost 30cm across.

Alli sent me a bunch of China Glaze crackles! How freaking amazing is that?

Bryce Canyon is not the only place to see the Claron Formation (Pink Cliffs) exposed. These outcrops are visible from Alton Road, a dirt road southwest of the park, east of Glendale, Utah.

They are on the western edge of the Paunsaugunt Plateau, about 9.5 miles SW of Rainbow Point, the southernmost lookout at Bryce.

The Pink Cliffs are the top stair of the Grand Staircase. This is a stitch of two photos.

Thought I would try a soft focus dark effect here.
