Walthamstow Market

...siamo a 3,

il primo fatto a Bologna a 16 anni;

il secondo a Dublino il giorno del mio 18esimo compleanno;

l'ultimo pochi mesi fa, a Barcellona...

Candid eye contact street photography from Glasgow, Scotland. Such a striking candid subject and some wonderful high-contrast light that emphasised her facial bone structure and flowing locks. Enjoy!

A young boy wearing a cap with a printed image of what could be his favorite comic character, looks directly into my camera with a wide, penetrating pair of eyes as I take his candid photo at a closer range.

He is riding on his father's motorcycle which is temporarily parked on the roadside of a village street in Subic, Zambales, Philippines.

Lisbon, light effects at the oceanarium ....

This is a color shot of the spot where the church of St. John once stood in Ioannina, Greece, within the North-Eastern citadel of the Castle. It is in the church's place that Aslan Pasha's mosque was built in the early 17th century (c.1618). The mosque has got a square floor plan; in its South-Western corner stairs lead up to the minaret.

The minaret is as tall and thin as a sudden Scream PIERCING the heavens' Silence and Serenity! It was from up there that Muslims were loudly called for prayer by the muezzin. The presence of so many Ottoman buildings in the town awakens painful memories of four hundred and eighty three years (1430–1913) of Turkish occupation—oppression, blood, tears and martyrdom. It also reminds us of the horrendous events that occurred in Constantinople in early September 1955.

Since 1930 the Municipal Museum of the city of Ioannina has been housed in the mosque; a Greek, a Jewish and a Turkish collection are exhibited there.

Great horned owl - Audubon Wildlife Sanctuary

Owls are among my favorite animals, in part because they are emblematic of wisdom and Intuition, ability to see what others do not see, capacity to see beyond deceit and masks

This Eagle Owl belongs to a falconry which showed some of its birds at the horse market at Ludwigsburg in early June. The wol and I watched wach other for quite a while and I had the strange feeling that she was reading my thoughts like a book.

This image was taken during an exploration of the woods at Stourhead.

A day after photographing 'Through the Darkness', I revisited the spot. This time I was setup ready and was rewarded with capturing the morning light pierce through the forest.

For this image I have decided to experiment with a bit of image making as this image is created from 13 frames, then using the brush tool I've gone over where the light is. The idea to do this came about as I was capturing the light moving

from one side to the other and thought I could at least attempt to recreate the moment in one frame.

I will be posting one of those images in the near future.

I know this is a bit of an unconventional "train" photo but I do hope some of you appreciate it.

One of the prettiest roads you might ever drive on is Winona Road the reaches through parts of Belknap and Grafton Counties in the great state of New Hampshire.

It is the scenic route between the communities of Meredith and Ashland and roughly parallels the old Concord and Montreal Railroad, later B&M's White Mountain Division Mainline. Now largely devoid of trains, these rails see no more than a dozen or two movements a year. But each fall for four weekends the Winnipesaukee Scenic runs foliage specials north from Meredith to Plymouth.

Here is one of those returning on a warm Sunday afternoon approaching the sunshine where the tracks cross over Winona Road on a narrow bridge at Milepost 41 (from Concord) on these lonely rails now owned by the state.
