If time permits, then any trip to the Basque Country should include a visit to Gaztelugatxe. It's a 'must-see' destination. Gaztelugatxe - which means 'Castle Rock' in the Basque language (“gaztelu” = castle + “aitz” = rock) - is an island located just off the shore along the Bay of Biscay, 35 km east of the provincial capital, Bilbao. The island is cone-shaped and is connected to the mainland by a man-made bridge. On top of the island stands a hermitage (named Gaztelugatxeko Doniene in Basque; San Juan de Gaztelugatxe in Spanish), dedicated to John the Baptist dating from the 10th century, although discoveries indicate that the date might even be the 9th century.
The hermitage/church is by no means original; having been burnt down and rebuilt several times over the centuries. In the 12th century, it became a convent. However, two centuries later, the friars abandoned it taking with them everything of value.
The main starting point for the walk to Gaztelugaxe is a large restaurant/parking/picnic area on top of the cliffs overlooking the island. There are two paths down to the shoreline, which both provide spectacular views. Once at the man-made bridge, the route transitions into a narrow path made up of 241 steps zigzagging their way back and forth up to the hermitage at the summit. According to legend, after completing the climb, visitors should ring the bell, hanging on the outside of the building, three times and make a wish. The walk back up the hill beckons but - no matter - the round-trip will have been quite exhilarating!

This is an application filed for the renewal of regular permit of S/C KL 44 A 8699 on the route Aluva Kanthalloor Via South Vazhakkulam, Perumbavoor, Kothamangalam, Adimaly, Anachal, Munnar and Marayoor as LSOS for 5 Years from 22/09/2016 to 21/09/2021.The regular permit of S/C KL 44 A 8699 was valid upto-21/09/2016 as FP.
On 22/09/2016 the permit holder applied for variation of permit as LSOS and for a temporary permit as per G.O(ms) 45/2015/Trans dated 20/08/2015 and at present the temporary permit issued to the S/C KL 44 A 8699 is valid upto-21/01/2019 in the light of the interim order of Hon.Highcourt of Kerala in WP(c) No.16452/2017(F) dated
16/05/2017 in which Hon.Court directing Sec.RTA Idukki that status quo with regards to the reissue of Temporary Permit application should be maintained untrammeled by G.O(P) No.6/2017/Tran dated 15/03/2017. In the light of the several judgment of Honarable High Court of Kerala( quashing the clause (4) of the modified scheme, 8/2017 dated 23/03/2017) there is no legal impediment to renew this regular permit since it is issued prior to 09-05-2006 . There is no need for any concurrence from sister RTAs for renewal of permit. Hence Renewal of permit granted subject to clearance of Government dues and NOC from the financier if applicable.

Origem do nome: A lenda diz que a povoação foi fundada por vários chefes de família que viviam dispersos no campo e resolveram agrupar-se para uma maior protecção. Descobrindo um espaço aberto, um diz para os outros: "Aqui o campo é maior".Vestígios de proveniência diversa permitem concluir que o actual território do concelho de Campo Maior foi habitado desde a época Pré-Histórica.
Certamente foi uma Povoação Romana, dominada por Mouros durante meio milénio e conquistada por cavaleiros cristãos da família Pérez de Badajoz em 1219, que posteriormente ofereceram a aldeia pertencente ao concelho de Badajoz à Igreja de Santa Maria do Castelo.
Em 31 de Maio de 1255, D. Afonso X, rei de Leão, eleva-a a Vila.
O Senhor da Vila, o Bispo D. Frei Pedro Pérez concede, em 1260, o primeiro foral aos seus moradores assim como o seguinte brasão de armas : N. Sr.ª com um cordeiro, e a legenda “Sigillum Capituli Pacensis”.
Em 31 de Maio de 1297, através do Tratado de Paz de Alcanizes assinado em Castela por D. Fernando IV, rei de Leão e Castela e D. Dinis, passa a fazer parte de Portugal, juntamente com Olivença e Ouguela.
Campo Maior vai pertencer sucessivamente a D. Branca, irmã de D. Dinis, em 1301 ; a D. Afonso Sanches, filho ilegítimo do mesmo rei, em 1312 ; e novamente ao rei D. Dinis em 1318.
O seu castelo que se ergue a leste da vila foi reedificado por D. Dinis em 1310, e foi no século XVII e XVIII que se levantaram fortificações tornando Campo Maior numa importante praça forte de Portugal.
Como reflexo da influência castelhana em Campo Maior, durante a Revolução de 1383-85, a guarnição militar e os habitantes da vila colocam-se ao lado do rei de Castela, tornando-se necessário que o Rei D. João I de Portugal e D. Nuno Álvares Pereira se desloquem propositadamente ao Alentejo com os seus exércitos para a cercarem durante mais de um mês e meio e ocuparem pela força, em fins de 1388.
D. João II deu-lhe novo brasão: um escudo branco, tendo as armas de Portugal de um lado, e de outro S. João Baptista, patrono da vila.
Em 1512, o rei D. Manuel I concede foral à vila de Campo Maior.
Desde os fins do Século XV, muitos dos perseguidos pela Inquisição em Castela refugiam-se em Portugal. A população de Campo Maior vai aumentar substancialmente à custa da fixação de residência de muitos desses foragidos.
A comunidade judaica ou rotulada como tal era tão numerosa na vila no Século XVI que nas listas dos apresentados em autos de fé realizados em Évora pela Inquisição, Campo Maior aparece entre as terras do Alentejo com maior número de acusados de judaísmo.
A guerra com Castela a partir de 1640 vai produzir as primeiras grandes transformações.
A necessidade de fortificar a vila que durante os três últimos séculos se desenvolvera acentuadamente para fora da cerca medieval, a urgência em construir uma nova cintura amuralhada para defesa dos moradores da vila nova dos ataques dos exércitos castelhanos, vai obrigar o rei a enviar quantias avultadas em dinheiro, engenheiros militares, operários especializados e empregar um numeroso contingente de pessoal não qualificado. Os contingentes militares são então numerosos. Calcula-se que na Segunda metade do Século XVII, em cada quatro pessoas residentes na vila, uma era militar. Campo Maior foi, durante algum tempo quartel principal das tropas mercenárias holandesas destacadas para o Alentejo. A vila torna-se naquele tempo o mais importante centro militar do Alentejo, depois de Elvas.
Em 1712, o Castelo de Campo Maior vê-se cercado por um grande exército espanhol comandado pelo Marquês de Bay, o qual durante 36 dias lança sobre a vila toneladas de bombas e metralha, tendo conseguido abrir uma brecha num dos baluartes; o invasor ao pretender entrar por aí, sofre pesadas baixas que o obrigam a levantar o cerco.
No dia 16 de Setembro de 1732, pelas três da manhã, desencadeia uma violenta trovoada, o paiol, contendo 6000 arrobas de pólvora e 5000 munições, situado na torre grande do castelo é atingido por um raio, desencadeando de imediato uma violenta explosão e um incêndio que arrastou consigo cerca de dois terços da população.
D. João V determina a rápida reconstrução do castelo. A vila vai erguer-se lentamente das ruínas e aos poucos refazer-se para voltar a ocupar o lugar de primeira linha nos momentos de guerra e de local de trocas comerciais e relacionamento pacífico com os povos vizinhos de Espanha, nos tempos de paz.
No Século XVIII termina a construção das actuais Igrejas da Misericórdia e da Matriz, e lança-se a primeira pedra para a fundação da Igreja de S. João. A vila que até então só tivera uma freguesia urbana é dividida nas duas actuais, Nossa Senhora da Expectação e São João Baptista, em 1766.
Os primeiros anos do Século XIX são em Campo Maior de grande agitação. Um cerco, em 1801, pelos espanhóis e uma revolução local, em 1808, contra os franceses que então invadiram Portugal o comprovam.
A sublevação campomaiorense contra a ocupação napoleónica vai sair vitoriosa devido ao apoio do exército de Badajoz que permanece na vila durante cerca de três anos.
Em 1811 surge uma nova invasão francesa que fez um cerco cerrado durante um mês à vila, obrigando-a a capitular. Mas a sua resistência foi tal que deu tempo a que chegassem os reforços luso-britânicos sob o comando de Beresford, que põe os franceses em debandada, tendo então a vila ganho o título de Vila Leal e Valorosa, título este presente no actual brasão da vila.
As lutas entre liberais e absolutistas em Campo Maior são também acontecimentos assinaláveis.
A «cólera morbis» mata, em 1865, durante cerca de dois meses e meio, uma média de duas pessoas por dia.
Em 1867, tentam extinguir Campo Maior como sede de concelho, agregando-lhe Ouguela e anexando-o ao concelho de Elvas. Tal decisão provoca um levantamento colectivo da povoação, que em 13 de Dezembro, entre numa verdadeira greve geral.
O concelho é definitivamente acrescido da sua única freguesia rural, em 1926 – Nossa Senhora dos Degolados.

Dos plantas para la producción sostenible se entregaron hoy a igual número de asociaciones campesinas en Guaviare. Una de las plantas procesará pulpa de asaí y la otra hará la producción de látex concentrado y pegante.
Estas plantas consolidan alianzas productivas a través de las cuales las organizaciones campesinas se comprometen voluntariamente y firman acuerdos de conservación de bosque, reciben asistencia técnica que les permite transitar hacia un modelo de desarrollo económico forestal sostenible y les deja capacidad instalada para procesar productos amazónicos demandados en el mercado, como lo son el asaí y el caucho.
La inauguración de las plantas de procesamiento de caucho y asaí de Asoprocaucho y Asoprocegua, respectivamente, contó con la presencia del ministro de Ambiente y Desarrollo Sostenible, Carlos Eduardo Correa; el viceministro de Agricultura, Omar Franco Torres; el embajador de Alemania, Peter Ptassek; el embajador británico, Colin Martin-Reynolds; el consejero de Bosques y Clima de Noruega, Ole Reidar Bergum; el director (e) del Instituto SINCHI, Diego Lizcano; el director de la seccional Guaviare de la CDA, Orlando Castro, y el coordinador del Programa Visión Amazonía, José Yunis Mebarak.
El Minambiente, a través del programa REM (REDD Early Movers) Colombia Visión Amazonía, y en alianza con el Instituto SINCHI, continúa trabajando por la conservación de la Amazonía mediante iniciativas con alto impacto ambiental y social como lo son las cadenas de valor del caucho y asaí.
Mejor calidad de vida
“Estamos muy orgullosos de compartir con el país esta noticia, la inauguración de dos plantas de producción sostenible que no solo contribuirán a la conservación de los bosques de la Amazonía, sino que a su vez mejorarán la calidad de vida de las personas que se unan a las iniciativas que se desarrollen con cada una de ellas. Un sentido agradecimiento a los productores que ya se adhirieron y que están comprobando que es posible producir conservando y conservar produciendo”, dijo Carlos Eduardo Correa.
Por su parte, el viceministro de Agricultura, Omar Franco Torres, expresó: “Lograr que todas las entidades del Estado lleguemos al territorio con el mismo mensaje es posible; desde el Ministerio de Agricultura promovemos y destacamos el trabajo de nuestros campesinos, mejorando su productividad, la sostenibilidad ambiental, pero teniendo en cuenta la calidad de vida como prioridad. Esto es una buena noticia para la nación y para el mundo, por eso estamos felices de hacer parte de esta iniciativa, de poner en marcha estas dos plantas al servicio de los campesinos guaviarenses”.
Luz Marina Mantilla, directora del Instituto SINCHI, en un video contó cómo por años su entidad ha contribuido a la construcción de escenarios de sostenibilidad con las mencionadas asociaciones, a las que ha apoyado en la elaboración de sus planes de manejo, lo que ha representado beneficios sociales, ambientales, económicos y empleo. “Esta es la mejor forma de reconciliarnos con la naturaleza, de evitar la deforestación, ubicándonos en este contexto, naturaleza, cultura y la parte social”, afirmó.
La planta de la Asociación de Productores Campesinos del Guaviare (Asoprocegua) está ubicada en la vereda Agua Bonita de San José del Guaviare, se dedicará al procesamiento de la pulpa del asaí, una fruta con una demanda cada vez mayor en Colombia y el extranjero. Esta planta cuenta con una capacidad de 400 toneladas de pulpa al año. Inicialmente, beneficiará a 170 asociados con el aprovechamiento sostenible del asaí; sin embargo, la capacidad instalada permite pensar que, con el tiempo, serán muchos más los beneficiados.
“Esta planta constituye una auténtica innovación para una cadena de valor que cada vez se consolida con mayor fuerza: los productos no maderables del bosque. Además, conecta a los productores con el mundo, con oportunidades de valor agregado porque protegen el bosque”, manifestó José Yunis Mebarak, coordinador general de Visión Amazonía.
Así mismo, Flaviano Mahecha, representante legal de Asoprocegua, manifestó: “Contamos con permiso de la autoridad ambiental para aprovechar de manera sostenible el asaí. Su pulpa se comercializará para consumo en fresco y nutrición saludable, por su alto contenido de antioxidantes, pero también se está elaborando galletería y barras energéticas. Además, avanzamos con el SINCHI en procesos para liofilización del fruto, de acuerdo a requerimientos de los mercados internacionales”.
Con esta iniciativa, los beneficiarios complementarán y mejorarán rápidamente sus ingresos. En contraprestación, ellos conservarán 6869 hectáreas de bosque amazónico.
Látex, protagonista de la innovación
La otra planta que se abrirá se encuentra ubicada en el municipio de El Retorno. Allí, los pequeños productores obtienen látex de calidad proveniente de sus cultivos, para elaboración de Aflatex, pegamento natural que no contiene sustancias conservantes y que ya se comercializa en alianza con Laboratorios SOAN, desarrollador del producto.
“Los niños pueden usarlo en el colegio y los adultos en sus oficinas, teniendo total tranquilidad de que no les causará ningún tipo de daño porque no contiene amoniaco como otros productos del mismo sector”, explica Mario Guevara, representante legal de la Asociación de Caucheros del Guaviare, Asoprocaucho.
Algo muy valioso en esta cadena de valor es que logra integrar a los agricultores, la planta de transformación y la comercialización, hasta llegar al consumidor final. En este camino se han aportado las obras de infraestructura, los equipos, los empaques y las tecnologías con que cuenta la planta.
“Esta planta es una fortaleza para productos amazónicos como el caucho. El desarrollo tecnológico y la innovación al servicio de los pequeños productores caucheros en El Retorno tienen que ampliarse a todo el departamento. Estoy seguro de que todas las entidades aquí presentes, Gobernación, CDA, alcaldías y demás van a tener que comprometerse hoy para apoyar a estas familias, para ampliar el número de beneficiarios de la planta, para desarrollar nuevos productos a base de látex natural y para fortalecer la comercialización del Aflatex”, expresó el ministro Correa.
Yunis Mebarak añadió: “Inicialmente habrá un distribuidor en el Meta para toda la región oriente. También se está asistiendo a ruedas de negocios para identificar nuevos distribuidores a nivel nacional. El proceso, que cuenta con el acompañamiento de Visión Amazonía, el Instituto SINCHI y la CDA, en todas sus fases, es muy satisfactorio”.
El proyecto beneficiará los ingresos de los pequeños productores involucrados, que actualmente reciben asistencia técnica a través de extensionista agroambientales para asegurar la alta calidad desde la siembra hasta la recolección del látex en el panel de sangría.
Con esta planta se benefician 126 familias, las cuales, a su vez, ayudan a conservar unas 1919 hectáreas de bosque.
Cooperación internacional, fundamental
Los gobiernos de Alemania, Reino Unido y Noruega, a través del programa REM Colombia apoyan la iniciativa Visión Amazonía del Gobierno colombiano, que busca reducir la deforestación de la Amazonía impulsando estrategias de protección de los bosques y el uso sostenible de los recursos naturales, a la vez que empodera a las comunidades locales y a los pueblos indígenas generando alternativas productivas bajas en deforestación.
“Visión Amazonía es uno de varios programas que financiamos en Colombia. Lleva cuatro años en su ejecución. Su trabajo en campo ha sido un trabajo de lecciones aprendidas, con una ruta concertada entre cooperantes y Gobierno a través de los ministerios de Ambiente y de Agricultura, que incorporan al proceso a otras instituciones como los institutos SINCHI, Ideam y Humboldt, que trabajan de la mano con las corporaciones como CDA, Corpoamazonía y Cormacarena, pero principalmente que trabaja con las comunidades locales, con las organizaciones indígenas y campesinas, porque es con las comunidades que podemos ejercer esa gobernanza ambiental que necesitamos para detener la deforestación”, expresó el embajador de Alemania, Peter Ptassek.

If time permits, then any trip to the Basque Country should include a visit to Gaztelugatxe. It's a 'must-see' destination. Gaztelugatxe - which means 'Castle Rock' in the Basque language (“gaztelu” = castle + “aitz” = rock) - is an island located just off the shore along the Bay of Biscay, 35 km east of the provincial capital, Bilbao. The island is cone-shaped and is connected to the mainland by a man-made bridge. On top of the island stands a hermitage (named Gaztelugatxeko Doniene in Basque; San Juan de Gaztelugatxe in Spanish), dedicated to John the Baptist dating from the 10th century, although discoveries indicate that the date might even be the 9th century.
The hermitage/church is by no means original; having been burnt down and rebuilt several times over the centuries. In the 12th century, it became a convent. However, two centuries later, the friars abandoned it taking with them everything of value.
The main starting point for the walk to Gaztelugaxe is a large restaurant/parking/picnic area on top of the cliffs overlooking the island. There are two paths down to the shoreline, which both provide spectacular views. Once at the man-made bridge, the route transitions into a narrow path made up of 241 steps zigzagging their way back and forth up to the hermitage at the summit. According to legend, after completing the climb, visitors should ring the bell, hanging on the outside of the building, three times and make a wish. The walk back up the hill beckons but - no matter - the round-trip will have been quite exhilarating!

The Horning Seed Orchard issued a special recreation permit to the Northwest Civil War Council to host a Civil War re-enactment on Sept 23-24, 2017.
The Walter Horning Seed Orchard, located in Colton, Oregon, is one of four centralized seed orchards managed by the BLM in western Oregon.
The 780-acre site provides genetically improved conifer seed for the BLM's Northwest Oregon, Medford, Roseburg, and Coos Bay districts, as well as 20 private crchard cooperators.

Back in the early fall, my wife and I were fortunate enough to spend our honeymoon at El Pescador lodge in Belize. Words can't really do the experience justice; Everything from the food to the staff to the fishing was truly exceptional. As an added bonus, I got to play with one of the new H2 rods. I'd say it was up to the task, as it helped me bag my first ever bonefish and permit on our first day en route to a saltwater grand slam! The rod was crisp, easy loading, and remarkably forgiving when my knees and timing buckled at the sight of a feeding fish. Despite the success of our first day, even the H2 couldn't save me on our second day out as I failed to convert any of 5 shots at big permit, which has left me longing for a return.
Since then I've been playing with the rod on my home water, putting it to the test against some big, angry trout. It seems to be holding up just fine.

Ressonância magnética é uma técnica que permite determinar propriedades de uma substância através do correlacionamento da energia absorvida contra a frequência, na faixa de megahertz (MHz) do espectromagnético, caracterizando-se como sendo uma espectroscopia. Usa as transições entre níveis de energia rotacionais dos núcleos componentes das espécies (átomos ou íons) contidas na amostra. Isso dá-se necessariamente sob a influência de um campo magnético e sob a concomitante irradiação de ondas de rádio na faixa de frequências acima citada.
Em espectroscopia, o processo de ressonância magnética é similar aos demais. Pois também ocorre a absorção ressonante de energia eletromagnética, ocasionada pela transição entre níveis de energia rotacionais dos núcleos atômicos, níveis estes desdobrados em função do campo magnético através do efeito Zeeman anômalo.
Como o campo magnético efetivo sentido pelo núcleo é levemente afetado (perturbação essa geralmente medida em escala de partes por milhão) pelos débeis campos eletromagnéticos gerados pelos eletrons envolvidos nas ligações químicas (o chamado ambiente químico nas vizinhanças do núcleo em questão), cada núcleo responde diferentemente de acordo com sua localização no objeto em estudo, actuando assim como uma sonda sensível à estrutura onde se situa.
O efeito da ressonâncita magnética nuclear fundamenta-se basicamente na absorção ressonante de energia eletromagnética na faixa de freqüências das ondas de rádio. Mais especificamente nas faixas de VHF.
Mas a condição primeira para absorção de energia por esse efeito é de que os núcleos em questão tenham momento angular diferente de zero.
Núcleos com momento angular igual a zero não tem momento magnético, o que é condição indispensável a apresentarem absorção de energia electromagnética. Razão, aliás, pertinente a toda espectroscopia.
A energia electromagnética só pode ser absorvida se um ou mais momentos de multipolo do sistema passível de absorvê-la são não nulos, além do momento de ordem zero para electricidade (equivalente à carga total).
Para a maior parte das espectroscopias, a contribuição mais importante é aquela do momento de dipolo. Se esta contribuição variar com o tempo, devido a algum movimento ou fenômeno periódico do sistema (vibração, rotação, etc), a absorção de energia da onda electromagnética de mesma freqüência (ou com freqüências múltiplas inteiras) pode acontecer.
Um campo magnético macroscópico é denotado pela grandeza vetorial conhecida como indução magnética B (Equações de Maxwell). Esta é a grandeza observável nas escalas usuais de experiências, e no sistema SI é medida em Tesla, que é equivalente a Weber/m3.
Em nível microscópico, temos outra grandeza relacionada, o campo magnético H, que é o campo que se observa a nível microscópico. No sistema SI é medido em Ampere/m.
O vetor dipolo magnético μ é um dos momentos de multipolo magnéticos.
Rigorosamente, núcleos não apresentam spin, mas sim momento angular (excepção feita somente ao núcleo do isótopo 1 do hidrogênio, que é constituído por um único próton). Embora o spin possa ser considerado um momento angular, por terem ambos as mesmas unidades e serem tratados por um formalismo matemático e físico semelhante, nem sempre o oposto ocorre. O spin é intrínseco, ao passo que objetos compostos tem momento angular extrínseco.
Contudo, motivos históricos e continuado costume levaram a esse abuso de linguagem, tolerado e talvez tolerável em textos não rigorosos. Um motivo a mais de complicação é o fato de que a moderna física de partículas considerar que certas partículas, antes pensadas como elementares (e portanto possuindo spin), sejam compostas (próton e nêutron compostos de quarks). Assim, fica um tanto impreciso o limite entre os casos onde se deva usar o termo spin e os casos onde se deva usar o termo momento angular.
A técnica da ressonância magnética nuclear é usada em Medicina e em Biologia como meio de formar imagens internas de corpos humanos e de animais, bem como de seres microscópicos (como no caso da microscopia de RMN). É chamada de tomografia de ressonância magnética nuclear ou apenas de ressonância magnética. Consiste em aplicar em um paciente submetido a um campo magnético intenso, ondas com freqüências iguais às dos núcleos (geralmente do 1H da água) dos tecidos do corpo que se quer examinar. Tais tecidos absorvem a energia em função da quantidade de água do tecido. Entretanto, para se localizar espacialmente o grupo de núcleos de hidrogênio, é mister se empregar um meio de se diferenciar o campo, impondo-lhe gradientes segundo certas direções.
Para imageamento de uma amostra, é necessário que a aparelhagem coloque a aquisição de sinal em função da posição. Esta função matemática é de em , e essa informação é suprida através de aplicação de um campo magnético que apresenta um gradiente tridimensional. Assim, para cada posição da amostra, dentro da margem de erro resultante da resolução, a aquisição é levemente diferente. O resultado então é tratado pela transformada de Fourier (especificamente FFT: Fast Fourier Transform), sendo resolvido a partir daí no espaço e não mais em frequência.
Os SPINs, tem o seu movimento em seu proprio eixo (ex: como pião),quando um atómo de hidrogênio e posto em um campo magnetico, os spins que esta dentro dele tende a se orientalo em direção do campo magnetico paralelo.
Next to be deboxed is Elsa. First the spacer is removed from the backing, with Elsa still attached to it. Rubber bands are removed that attach her braids to her arm. Then the spacer is removed from her head by snipping off the multiple T-tabs tacking her head to the spacer. Under the spacer is a protective adhesive plastic cap over her hair. Remnants of the T-tabs are sticking out of her hair.
Anna is now fully deboxed. Her skirts are stiff enough to permit her to free stand, although she a bit unstable this way. She is posed next to her doll stand.
The next step is to remove her from the doll stand, and remove the tacking that pins the sections of the skirt together. She is laid back down, and her skirts raised to reveal the wires attaching her legs to the doll stand. The wires are removed to free her from the stand, and then the stand is removed by gently pulling it straight down with one hand while holding on to the her waist with the other. Then the tacks pinning the sections of her skirt together are removed, one by one. There are tacks pinning the yellow green sections together, and also tacks pinning the dark green section between them to the satin underskirt. Four of the back sections are freed, and so the back of the skirt can be extended to show nearly the full width of the skirt. Then the skirt is partially raised to first show the underskirt, then the petticoat. Then Anna is turned around, so we can work on freeing the front sections of the outer skirt. Finally all the sections of her skirt are unpinned, and we can extend her skirt to its full width. It almost makes a full semi-circle. Then to show the full extent of her skirts, the outer skirt is lifted over her head, so make a full circle. Then the underskirt is raised as far as it can go, and finally the same for the petticoat. Then her skirts are put back down.
We prepare to remove the spacers from the backing by clipping off the ends of the wires, cutting the rubber bands and threads, and removing the tape holding the tabs of the spacers to the back of the backing. Anna will be the first to be removed from the backing. The tabs of the spacer are cut, and the spacer with Anna attached is pulled from the backing. There are wires attaching her bun and ponytail to the spacer, and a wire around her waist that goes through the spacer. Also there are several T-tabs tacking the back of her head to the spacer. The spacer is then removed from Anna. There is still a wire around her bun, her waist, and remnants of the T-tabs in her head. The wires are removed and T-tabs cut close to her scalp. The back of her dress is opened to make removing the wire around her waist easier. We see manufacturer's markings on her lower back, under her upper torso joint. It also has her edition number and size: 39/100. The back of her skirt is sewn shut, but I cut the thread loose, so I can open up her skirt and see the top of her petticoat underneath. We also see that her satin underskirt is permanently sewn to the top of her outer skirt. Then her skirt and top are closed up, and she is stood up, supported by her doll stand.
Then we untack Anna's dress from the backing. Now the bottom of the backing can be dropped down. We can see the bottom of the two doll stands, and see the bottom of Anna's and Elsa's shoes. Then we raise Anna's skirt up, and see the many layers of Anna's outfit. Her outer skirt is made of panels of yellow green embroidered and jeweled satin alternating with plain dark green satin panels, the pattern repeating ten times. The lighter green panels are tacked together with plastic T-tabs, so we don't see the full extent of the skirt. Under the skirt is a full length yellow green satin slip, with a wide lacy hem. Under that is a 3/4 length stiff tulle petticoat. Under that are yellow green satin knee-length bloomers. Finally under that are full length stockings or leggings. Anna is certainly dressed for cold weather. Her legs are wired to the doll stand at the ankles and knees. Her feet are posable, and she is wearing black flats, which is rather disappointing given the gorgeous and unique shoes that Elsa is wearing.
Next we begin to undo all the attachments that are accessible without taking the spacers off the backing. First we snip off the T-tabs that tack Elsa's dress to the backing, as well as enough of the fasteners that pin the cape shut. We can now open up the cape and her skirt in the front to see Elsa's legs and shoes. We see that she is bound to her doll stand by wires. She has unique shoes, iridescent blue high heeled shoes with a snowflake design. She also bucks the trend of fully articulated legs in the Limited Edition dolls, by having fixed angled feet. She looks much more elegant with fixed feet in the high heels.
Deboxing the Harrods Anna and Elsa LE 100 dolls. First we open the box to begin the deboxing process. We can do this without damaging the packaging in any way, by sliding the multiple covers off the box until the dolls are in the open. We can also get a look at the Certificate of Authenticity, which is below the bottom of the inner box. The set is #39 of 100. The dolls are still attached to the plastic spacers and cardboard backing by wires, thread, rubber bands and plastic T-tabs.
First look at the Harrods special edition of the Disney Store's Limited Edition Anna and Elsa Doll Set. I purchased it through a reseller, as it was only sold at the Harrods London store. It was released on November 1, 2013, in an edition of 100. The retail cost is more than four times that of the separately sold LE Anna and Elsa dolls (which will be released worldwide on November 20, 2013, in an edition size of 2500). As might be expected, the dolls are considerably different in details than the ''regular'' limited edition dolls. In particular there is considerably more crystals on the outfits, and embroidered snowflakes completely cover the outer gown (cape) of Elsa. Also, Elsa's skin has a pearly shiny surface, very similar to the skin of LE Ursula, although it has a much paler purplish color.
They are 17'' fully articulated dolls, with doll stands and certificated of authenticity. Anna is in her coronation gown, Elsa is in her Snow Queen gown.

Finally got my driver's permit after my 5th try. Ugh. It was a pain. Celebrated with snows cones and basketball with 4 of my pimps. <3.
A couple nights ago, I played with my camera & tweaked it and now I've finally found the secret to pull out the full potential of my camera. So I've been taking a lot of shots lately, but don't really show them here since I don't have space.
Today, I went to go apply at the ghetto store with Stephanie. We walked back and forth from our houses to there. The heat was majorly hot. We couldn't apply in person since they told us to apply online, so that was a bust. We're still applying though, lol. Since we really couldn't do anything after that, we bought food and candy. Ate all my stuff right when I got home. Dx. Later this month, I'm going to register classes for MCAD. Another pain to worry about, especially since I have to find a job and manage classes alone since I'm getting kicked out next month.
I have a road trip with my pimps again next week. It's gonna be so fun. =3. We've finally decided where we're going after 3 months of choosing where, and so we decided to go to Connecticut TO MEET THE SEXIEST BASTARD ALIVE. Dx.
Going to try learn how to swim. And going to a pool party tonight, so it's gonna be difficult to have fun unless I do something crazy.
