You need a win a lottery to win 1 of 20 permits to go visit this hellish but exquisitely beautiful landscape. The permits are required to preserve the beauty of the fragile landscape. Weather changes every few minutes, you can slip or fall at any turn. The high altitude makes it hard to breath. But the pictures come out great even if you don't compose !
A demolition permit was issued two days ago for the 1866 residence, one of the last pre-Chicago Fire buildings in the city and 19th-century residences on this very upscale block. It was sold for $1.67 million in December 2012, and the owner of the property listed on the permit is an LLC named for the mansion to the north. Listings for the building only show rental apartments with leases terminating on March 31, 2019, with no renewal options. A side door was open but I didn’t enter because Janet was waiting for me to move on.
Wretched people lined up, waiting to be photographed and having those photographs pasted into the first work permit they had ever had in their lives. The great majority of those there had left school and had begun their lives of drudgery before the age of 10. Contemporary slavery, Amazon rainforest, Tuerê Farm, State: Pará, Brazil. Special Group for the Repression of Forced Labour (Groupo Especial de Repressão ao Trabalho Forçado) or GERTRAF, as it is commonly known, is made up of 4 mobile groups that work in different regions of the country, investigating accusations of work conditions close to slavery on farms, charcoal works, plantations and sugar mills. They are officials of the Ministry of Labour and they have support from the Federal Police.

PERTIS (Permit to Travel Issuing System), was first introduced by Network SouthEast in November 1988 on the LTS route between London Fenchurch Street and Shoeburyness. The machines, which closely resemble those found in pay and display car parks, were manufactured by Almex Information Systems. Machines were given the designation AS-9 (wall-mounted) or AS-88 (mounted on a metal base), but internal workings and tickets were identical in each case.
Penalty Fares schemes spread across Network SouthEast in subsequent years, with AS-88 machines being used exclusively; railway stations in the West Midlands and West Yorkshire PTE areas subsequently had schemes put in place, and machines were installed accordingly.
The front panel of the machine has two LCD displays; one shows the current time, while the other displays the amount paid when coins have been fed in. A button is pressed to print the permit, which shows a serial number, the station name, the date and time. The passenger is supposed to insert coins as near to the value of the fare as possible (if they know the fare and have enough coins), and some machines have a list of common local single and return fares.
Permits to travel bear the warning that they are not fare tickets and must be exchanged for one at the first opportunity. The record of the station of issue means that passengers who travel using it cannot claim that they just boarded the train (allowing them to travel on a cheaper fare) if they are not reached by a ticket inspector until a few stops after boarding. Permits to travel are in any case valid for only two hours from the time shown on them.
If holders of a permit to travel are asked to present their ticket by an inspector, they will be asked where they are travelling to and issued with the appropriate ticket and will be charged the difference between the balance already paid, as stated on the permit and the full cost of the ticket for their journey. If they have already paid the full price of the ticket, it will be exchanged for the permit and no money will change hands.
Because any amount of money on a valid permit to travel will ensure that a passenger cannot be charged a penalty fare, it is entirely possible (if the passenger is not encountered by an inspector, who will sell a full ticket) to make a two hour train journey for as little five pence (the lowest denomination coin the machine will accept) without breaching any fare regulations.
When a station is manned and its ticket office open, the machine will usually be deactivated, with a light illuminated to indicate that proper tickets should be purchased.
Within Train Operating Companies, a distinction is made between ticket inspectors and "Revenue Protection Inspectors" or "Authorised Penalty Fare Officers". Only the latter have the authority to issue penalty fares where a ticket or permit is not held. Many Train Operating Companies (TOCs) such as Southern have altered their penalty fare policies and have removed many permit to travel machines; while others, such as Southeastern and Chiltern Railways, have installed more machines recently.
PERTIS machines at larger stations have also in recent years given way to more sophisticated self-service ticket machines, but displaced machines have then been placed at smaller stations not previously so equipped. Thus, for example, Ham Street (Kent, Southern TOC) acquired two such displaced machines in November 2008, one on each platform, and from 14 December 2008 became a Penalty Fares Station.
A similar ticket is known in Germany as Fahrkarte Anfangsstrecke. It can be acquired at older Deutsche Bahn ticket machines and is priced at € 15.00.
Don't think that you can get into the shredding of important papers business without having a permit from the City Of New YorK. They want to get into the act by making a few bucks by selling permits.
I would doubt that the city issues permits to dump works of art which have no monetary or sentimental value anymore. This you can do for almost nothing. All you need is one of the many Dreaded Russ Martin Dumpsters and off you go. They go by many different names, but I like The Dreaded Russ Martin Dumpster best. The talented photographer Russ Martin is trying to avoid having all of his work end up in a dumpster. He says that is where my work is most likely to end up. He may be right. This is very scary..
After waiting for some three hours for the service to end, we were able to sneak in through a side entrance and after paying the £3 fee for a photographer's permit, I began snapping.

Ripon Cathedral is a seat of the Bishop of Leeds and one of three co-equal mother churches of the Diocese of Leeds, situated in the small North Yorkshire city of Ripon, England. The cathedral has Grade I listed building status.
There has been a stone church on the site since 672 when Saint Wilfrid replaced the previous timber church of the monastery at Ripon (a daughter house of Aiden's monastery at Melrose) with one in the Roman style. This is one of the earliest stone buildings erected in the Anglo-Saxon Kingdom of Northumbria. The crypt dates from this period.
People have been coming to worship and pray at Ripon for more than 1,350 years. The Cathedral building itself is part of this continuing act of worship, begun in the 7th century when Saint Wilfrid built one of England's first stone churches on this site, and still renewed every day. Within the nave and choir, you can see the evidence of 800 years in which master craftsmen have expressed their faith in wood and stone.
Today's church is the fourth to have stood on this site. Saint Wilfrid brought stonemasons, plasterers and glaziers from France and Italy to build his great basilica in AD 672. A contemporary account by Eddius Stephanus tells us:
"In Ripon, Saint Wilfrid built and completed from the foundations to the roof a church of dressed stone, supported by various columns and side-aisles to a great height and many windows, arched vaults and a winding cloister."
Saint Wilfrid was buried in this church near the high altar. Devastated by the English king in AD 948 as a warning to the Archbishop of York, only the crypt of Wilfrid's church survived but today this tiny 7th-century chapel rests complete beneath the later grandeur of Archbishop Roger de Pont l’Evêque’s 12th century minster. A second minster soon arose at Ripon, but it too perished – this time in 1069 at the hands of William the Conqueror. Thomas of Bayeux, first Norman Archbishop of York, then instigated the construction of a third church, traces of which were incorporated into the later chapter house of Roger's minster.
The Early English west front was added in 1220, its twin towers originally crowned with wooden spires and lead. Major rebuilding had to be postponed due to the outbreak of the Wars of the Roses but resumed after the accession of Henry VII and the restoration of peace in 1485. The nave was widened and the central tower partially rebuilt. The church's thirty five misericords were carved between 1489 and 1494. It is worth noting that the same (Ripon) school of carvers also carved the misericords at Beverley Minster and Manchester Cathedral. But in 1547, before this work was finished, Edward VI dissolved Ripon's college of canons. All revenues were appropriated by the Crown and the tower never received its last Perpendicular arches. It was not until 1604 that James I issued his Charter of Restoration.
The minster finally became a cathedral (the church where the Bishop has his cathedra or throne) in 1836, the focal point of the newly created Anglican Diocese of Ripon — the first to be established since the Reformation.
Back in the early fall, my wife and I were fortunate enough to spend our honeymoon at El Pescador lodge in Belize. Words can't really do the experience justice; Everything from the food to the staff to the fishing was truly exceptional. As an added bonus, I got to play with one of the new H2 rods. I'd say it was up to the task, as it helped me bag my first ever bonefish and permit on our first day en route to a saltwater grand slam! The rod was crisp, easy loading, and remarkably forgiving when my knees and timing buckled at the sight of a feeding fish. Despite the success of our first day, even the H2 couldn't save me on our second day out as I failed to convert any of 5 shots at big permit, which has left me longing for a return.
Since then I've been playing with the rod on my home water, putting it to the test against some big, angry trout. It seems to be holding up just fine.

D. João V determina a rápida reconstrução do castelo.

This shot was taken in Douglas Crescent in Edinburgh. The houses and gardens there are really nice and the cars appear to be as well. I've always like the Audi A5 very sleek looking car. I liked the way it looked against the backdrop of the trees and was on it's own. For a quick snapshot and a bit of editing in Lightroom I really like the finished shot.

One of my grandsons loves two sports: baseball and soccer. But he loves soccer more, influenced perhaps by his father's Irish origin. He probably started kicking a soccer ball as soon as he could walk; but in any case, he has been playing in the local kids' soccer league for the past three years. It's been amazing to watch how much better all of the kids have gotten during this period: they not only kick the ball in the general direction where they're aiming, but they actually pass the ball to their teammates and follow what certainly appears to be a coherent strategy.
There are games every weekend, but it looks like my travel and work schedule will only make it possible for me to attend two of the games this season. Naturally I bring my camera gear with me, and I do my best to take photos of everyone on my grandson's team ... though I must confess that I'm not a sufficiently good sport to photograph all of the kids on the opposing team. After all, those kids have got their own set of camera-happy parents and grandparents, right?
Anyway, I took some 900+ photos of this weekend's game, and you can relax with the news that I've culled out a mere 45 that I felt were worth editing, tweaking and uploading to Flickr.
Enjoy!
Well I can't really upload anything anymore since I has no Pro.

Finally got my driver's permit after my 5th try. Ugh. It was a pain. Celebrated with snows cones and basketball with 4 of my pimps. <3.
A couple nights ago, I played with my camera & tweaked it and now I've finally found the secret to pull out the full potential of my camera. So I've been taking a lot of shots lately, but don't really show them here since I don't have space.
Today, I went to go apply at the ghetto store with Stephanie. We walked back and forth from our houses to there. The heat was majorly hot. We couldn't apply in person since they told us to apply online, so that was a bust. We're still applying though, lol. Since we really couldn't do anything after that, we bought food and candy. Ate all my stuff right when I got home. Dx. Later this month, I'm going to register classes for MCAD. Another pain to worry about, especially since I have to find a job and manage classes alone since I'm getting kicked out next month.
I have a road trip with my pimps again next week. It's gonna be so fun. =3. We've finally decided where we're going after 3 months of choosing where, and so we decided to go to Connecticut TO MEET THE SEXIEST BASTARD ALIVE. Dx.
Going to try learn how to swim. And going to a pool party tonight, so it's gonna be difficult to have fun unless I do something crazy.
Been very addicted to this song lately. This too. AND THIS TOO!
LOL. Have so many songs I'm addicted to. xD.
<3.<3.<3.

I was never a believer,
not one to be a seeker,
I was alone,
and these days were all the same.
I met you,
I had found someone I could free myself upon,
these days were never the same.
I became so close,
I had freed myself, but in time I became lost
these days were all the same.
I needed you again,
where have you gone?
These days have never hurt so much.
These days brought the pain,
they brought the love,
they brought the hate,
I can’t replace what I’ve never found,
but I thought I found you.
I lost my belief,
I solemnly make my apologies for the mistakes I’ve made of burdening myself upon you
these days brought regret.
My body was shaking with the fear of truly losing you,
maybe this is the end,
these days brought the tears.
All of a sudden,
you returned,
and I never felt so happy,
so don’t tell me that it’ll end,
these days brought the happiness.
These days were so great,
can you explain to me why it ended?
Maybe I lack the understanding,
so I need an explanation.
Walk back into my life as you so swiftly did once a time ago,
don’t say anything, just come back.
These days . . .
I need you, I miss you, I love you.
[ENG] Fishing with two guides is an advantage. While one runs the operation from the platform, the other one accompanies the fisherman, recommends when to cast and helps with the line to avoid tangles. In these lodges so specialized in permit fly fishing, know that casting from the boat scare more fish away as if done from the water.

Anna is now fully deboxed. Her skirts are stiff enough to permit her to free stand, although she a bit unstable this way. She is posed standing, supported by her included doll stand. All photos were taken with the built-in camera flash.
Anna is in her coronation gown, with a velvet black bodice and green skirt. The bodice is form fitting, with multicolored embroidery and jewels, with a dark green satin shoulder straps. Her outer skirt is made of panels of yellow green embroidered and jeweled satin alternating with plain dark green satin panels, the pattern repeating ten times. The lighter green panels are tacked together with plastic T-tabs, so we don't see the full extent of the skirt. When the sections are freed, the skirt can expand to a full semicircle. Under the skirt is a full length yellow green satin slip, with a wide lacy hem. Under that is a 3/4 length stiff tulle petticoat. Under that are yellow green satin knee-length bloomers. Finally under that are full length stockings or leggings. Anna is certainly dressed for cold weather. Her legs are wired to the doll stand at the ankles and knees. Her feet are posable, and she is wearing black flats, which is rather disappointing given the gorgeous and unique shoes that Elsa is wearing. She is wearing a necklace, with the pendant stuck to her chest.
Her face is very movie accurate. She has a round face, with huge blue green eyes, long gently curving rooted eyelashes, thin dark brown eyebrows. She has a small pointy nose, thin dark pink lips in a slight smirk, and large round ears. She has orange freckles all over her face, extending down to her neck, shoulders and chest, and even on her upper back. She has a very pale complexion, but her sister Elsa is much, much paler. Her body is the usual LE Princess body, with full articulation in her arms and legs, and an upper torso joint. Her rusty red hair is fashioned into a large bun in the back of her head, with a spiraling braid around a small bun in the middle, out of which comes several thin ponytails, including two very skinny braids, and also several satin ribbons. In front are long curly bangs, and a tight flat braid over it. There is a streak of white hair from her right side, and ending in one of the thin pony tails hanging off the small bun.
Anna is very beautiful and elegant, very much a Disney Princess.
First look at the Harrods special edition of the Disney Store's Limited Edition Anna and Elsa Doll Set. I purchased it through a reseller, as it was only sold at the Harrods London store. It was released on November 1, 2013, in an edition of 100. The retail cost is more than four times that of the separately sold LE Anna and Elsa dolls (which will be released worldwide on November 20, 2013, in an edition size of 2500). My set is #39 of 100, and I received it on November 11, 2013.
They are 17'' fully articulated dolls, with doll stands and certificated of authenticity. Anna is in her coronation gown, Elsa is in her Snow Queen gown. As might be expected, the dolls are considerably different in details than the ''regular'' limited edition dolls. In particular there is considerably more crystals on the outfits, and embroidered snowflakes completely cover the outer gown (cape) of Elsa. Also, Elsa's skin has a pearly shiny surface, very similar to the skin of LE Ursula, although it has a much paler purplish color. She has unique shoes, iridescent blue high heeled shoes with a snowflake design. She also bucks the trend of fully articulated legs in the Limited Edition dolls, by having fixed angled feet. She looks much more elegant with fixed feet in the high heels.
