Description: "Seasoned to Perfection:" This stylized photograph graced the front of the 1970 Pinecone. VSC had drug use in the early 1970's, as did most college campuses. One response to the problem was the formation of a Board of Regents mandated "Drug Committee" composed of students and faculty. The committee debated their role with regard to the law: "The Student Committee on Drugs doesn't stop people from using drugs … its most important function is to help the people who are having problems with dope."
