Description: "Seasoned to Perfection:" This stylized photograph graced the front of the 1970 Pinecone. VSC had drug use in the early 1970's, as did most college campuses. One response to the problem was the formation of a Board of Regents mandated "Drug Committee" composed of students and faculty. The committee debated their role with regard to the law: "The Student Committee on Drugs doesn't stop people from using drugs … its most important function is to help the people who are having problems with dope." (Spectator, 10/27/1970, p. 10)

The first Madame Hardy bloom this year. She only flowers once a year, but she's worth it. She smells divine, and the flowers are just perfect. This is her 3rd year and she's covered in buds - should be good.
A hoopoe walked up to our back window tonight - that was pretty perfect too.
