I think he has gone into a plaoma...play coma. He had been playing so hard, ran over to one of the wicker baskets and plopped down. Such a cute baby!

I found a Bald-faced Hornet nest on the ground. What a gorgeous creation! I read that each color represents a different source of wood fiber. Hundreds of hornets masticate on wood fibers that were stripped from logs. The combination of chewed wood and hornet saliva containing starch forms a pulpy material resembling paper mache. The hornets shape this into a ball and carry it back to the nest. It dries as soon as it is exposed to air.
Some creatures will use the nest for shelter in the winter...such as deermice. In the springtime the paper is a prize for songbirds to use in nestbuilding.
A H.D. Smith & Co. Perfect Handle 1 5/8 inch wrench. It's in very nice condition with some dings in the metal on the head and even some of the original luster on the metal parts of the handle. The other side has "THE H.D. SMITH & CO" stamped on it and on the head "Brown & Sharpe Mfg Co Providence R.I. US.A" along with the size. The neck of the wrench still has most of the paint intact but on one side was ground slightly and stamped with "LOCO MACH 2120". These tools just feel so nice in your hand and look beautiful too.

(I tried wearing her the black shirt from Perk Colette, but since she does not have the hand speak system, it was absolutelly impossible... I gave up in 30 minutes *sigh)
I made the perfect batch of Colombian rice last night to go with beans & arepas. Don't know if it's the heat or what, but I've been craving some good Colombian food. Normally my rice is good, but this was the best batch of rice I've ever made!

[I removed this photo from the "My_Way♫_mag." (www.flickr.com/groups/my_way/) group pool, to which it had been invited and I had initially accepted the invitation. As it turned out the said group is not a real group, but rather a private collection pretending to be a group. Discussions are blocked, and all submissions are reviewed. The group rules do not mention that, as there are no rules available to the public. I only realised the existence of the reviewing procedure when I wanted to add another of my photos to the pool. It never made it there. I have no interest in presenting my work in such pseudo-groups. Either a group is public, or it explicitly says "invite only", and I do accept invitations from the latter. Thank you.]
Yesterday was my bday and it was the most purrrfect day ever. My boyfriend woke me up with kisses and a bouquet of yellow roses, my favorite *__* He also gave me a bag of my favorite sweets >____< We went to breakfast at starbucks, We walked through Valencia downtown and then... I GOT MY FIRST TATTOO *___* It was a gift from my boyfriend, my sister and her boyfriend, they are so cute *__* The tattoo is my sister's name in kanjis (: I've been so SO excited and happy. It was the BEST GIFT ever!!
