Sunday June 25th, to me this looked like a perfect time to dive into the Home Depot for something. More rain after the 5 inches of deluge we received two days ago. Orangeville, Ontario.

This woodpigeon was sunning himself on top of a hedge. The light was just perfect to show up some great feather detail
The beautiful U.S. American Flag and pelican Louisiana Flag flying high above a palm tree with a warm, sun filled blue sky.
This is one of my favorites.
I remember I ordered it back in 2002 from god known which US American online-shop.
I was tipped off by Mr. Scott McCloud himself.
While I was walking my dog in Magnolia Nature Reserve the other morning I had a moment where all I could see was trees, and all I could hear was the wind, birds and insects. No human noise, no traffic, no planes... it was perfect
Perfect for mucking out in the barn or for riding in (they even have spur rests). Children's Size 34
Our wedding was held at Cliffrose Lodge & Gardens in Springdale, Utah.
Special thanks to our talented photographer Jimmy Bishop of Gideon Photography.
Additional thanks to our amazing wedding planner, Laura Stagg of Forevermore Events, without whom none of this would have been possible.

One of a few small tortoiseshell (Aglais urticae L.), Nässelfjäril, this cold summer. In early spring there were plenty, but not now. Maybe they come back later.
I don't exaggerate, these muffins are perfect. I want to make them once a week and eat them for every meal. (I added chopped walnuts on top: highly recommended.)
Oh yeah, but that can't happen because I broke my baby while making these. I know you're not supposed to put metal anywhere near a beating mixer, but I'M STUPID, I admit it. A fork slipped out of my hands and got swept up into the mixers (beaters?) and bent the holy hell out of them and made an awful, terrible noise in the engine.
Lesson learned. Maybe I can find new beaters (mixers?! what the heck are they called?) and the engine just needs a little rest. Maybe.
