(I tried wearing her the black shirt from Perk Colette, but since she does not have the hand speak system, it was absolutelly impossible... I gave up in 30 minutes *sigh)

Baby gull on the ground at St Andrews Cathedral. The nests are up on the ruined walls. Instinct is to head for the rocks, rather than staying on the grass. Mother was feeding the chick regularly, but I don't think it would be safe from cats at night.
In visible light that humans perceive, the camouflage is nearly perfect. I don't know how it looks to predators.
The McDonnell Douglas MD-82 first entered regular service with Republic Airlines in 1981 and has since become a prominent figure in the aviation world, especially in Italy as the national airline Alitalia once operated a large portion of the MD-82 fleet on its internal and medium range services until December 2012. Today, the most prominent MD-82 operator in Italy is Sardinian based carrier Meridiana Fly which has a fleet of 8 of these aircraft.
Here, Meridiana Fly McDonnell Douglas MD-82 I-SMEB is seen climbing into the evening Mediterranean sun shortly after departure from Naples.
Got lucky with the timing on this one. Used Capture NX-D to change white balance, correct angle, and S-curve. Convert to TIF then used GIMP to touch up eyes and add slight vignette.
A few weeks back, nancyo23 posted a shot of some VERY expired film that she had picked up in an antique-store haul.
I commented that if it were me, I'd be tempted to try shooting it--and she very generously offered to mail me a roll. That's Flickr people for you!
I have never heard of "Perfect Pan" in my life; but "made in Belgium" makes me suspect it was really Gevaert film, from just about the year when they merged with Agfa.
I have had pretty good luck using expired black and white film in the past. It does tend to lose some speed and contrast, and gains graininess and base fog. But this was WAY off the charts: Expired 41 years ago, and stored who knows how!?!? I had no idea what would happen.
The packaging told me that the original speed was 125 (on that newfangled ASA scale). I figured I should rate it at about 50, and develop the heck out of it too. I gave it 9 minutes in HC-110 (dilution B), where most films would need about 5 minutes.
Results: It worked! The base fog was utterly horrendous--the negatives are mottled dark gray everywhere. So I suspect I overdid the development a bit. But it didn't seem the film had lost all that much sensitivity. Even a test shot using the rated 125 speed looked reasonable.
