Perfect photos on Flickr

Okay, just my opinion that the Taj Mahal is perfect. Beautiful white crystalline marble inlaid with designs and quotations from the Qur'an inlaid in jasper in beautiful arabic script. Floral and other decorative patterns inlaid in semi-precious stones. And this is just the exterior. The closer you get to the cenotaphs inside (of the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan and his beloved wife Mumtaz) the more intricate and beautiful the inlaid work becomes - and the more precious the stones that are inlaid.

I recognize that this is a bit of a trite and over-used composition, but I still feel compelled to share it. This is in the morning before they turn the fountain on - which is also lovely, but you lose the reflection.
