Taken on a very drizzly wet morning in Scotland near Fort William - its not a long exposure, it really was that calm on the loch.
I posted this 3 years ago when I first signed up here, but it really belongs in this current series.
When I over edit a picture, (Especially when I'm bloggin' Skins , makeup or accessories) I always add a clean photo on my blog, make sure you take a look at the blog post too. Thank you ♥
The end of an eastbound stacker clears just in time for a westbound to pass. I'll post the video of this sometime
The vast majority of the Pink Flannel Flowers (Actinotus forsythii) that I found had their centres damaged by the relentless, pelting rain we have been having for a solid week now. However, this one must have been partly sheltered and just recently opened, as it was as close to “perfect” as I had seen. (Katoomba, Blue Mountains, NSW).

She is authentic, strong, owns herself. It may lack some ingredients to make it perfect, but what is never lacking is the courage to be the best version of yourself.
This is essentially the same scene as 'Perfect evening light' but different time of day and different season. I love how the colours, foliage and atmosphere are completely different.
A House Sparrow stopped briefly for a few seeds before flying off to parts unknown. The old stump makes for a perfect perch to photograph anything that comes along.
Fotografías tomadas en el Cabo Cervera, viendo salir el sol....el día que haya temporal aquí, esto debe de ser un espectáculo.
One of those days where you can see for miles, perfect weather. The hill in the distance is called Misty Law (1673ft). Shot taken just off the Bowfield Road.

(and get lucky).
Didn't have a tripod with me for this as it was just a casual walkabout Edinburgh city centre. But I wanted traffic trails dammit :). I'd been dropping the shutter speed to get a bit more light into the camera and then just decided to go for some really long exposures to get a lot more light in (and so increase the signal to noise ratio) and get some trails.
Found a nice lamp post with a metal box of some kind next to it, and I put my left elbow on the box with my arm upright under the camera. Using my right hand to push the camera against the lamp post and my head as a third point of contact made for a pretty secure camera. It still took a few goes to get this sharp frame however it is possible to hand-hold a 2 second shot like this - as long as you grip the camera effectively. In general: eliminate arm joints from your grip - if there's nothing to lean on, jam your elbows in against your chest, and jam the camera into your left shoulder and press it up against your face.
