I have shot this location a number of times. I usually prefer to shoot from higher ground to show the train, however with all of the Hooligan fisherman lining the highway I opted to shoot a bit lower to try to eliminate as many cars as possible. Couldn't get them all but most of them. The Whittier freight is northbound at Petersen.
October, 1991, back country of Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge. There was a monstrous storm offshore dubbed "The Perfect Storm." A friend and I were camping the back country; overnight we were nearly washed away, stranded on the only dry land for miles, our own little island about 30-feet square, a raging sea all around us. This picture is our hike out the next morning.
Good morning dear flickr friends! We finaly arrived at the date of dates. But, as you see me posting, we are still waiting :) Nothing new and we all had a perfect night :)
A big thank you for all your great words and wishes! It's a pleasure to have you in my contacts! Have a great day! Take care!

An immature Ring Billed Gull lands on the fence along the Delaware River in Burlington County, NJ today.
Finally, after a summer of record-breaking, paint-peeling temperatures, we're getting nice weather. Yesterday was warm but cloudy, today is warm and sunny, with wonderful blue skies. I've had my central air off for two days and nights now!

The River Eden at Lazonby , going back to one of those special mornings you get along the Eden. A mix of mist and a beautiful sunrise, always good to look through the archives.

Yes, in this year's holiday I went back to Santa Maddalena ! And I still think this is the most beautiful place on earth. With the help of my friend Giuseppe, I could see wonderful places I had been so close two years ago and didn't visit. This small chapel is really near the Dolomites, and the picture doesn't represent the greatness of these rocks ! Believe me, you should visit this place at least once in your lifetime.
I wish to thank also my friends Veronica and Luigi for the tips that made my holiday so perfect.

Last night's Sunset was perfect for showing off the Larch and Ash tree silhouettes as well as the hills beyond. A wonderful mix of cloud colours across the evening sky was a true pleasure to view!

From the archives. A beautiful September morning at Midden Delfland with a promise for a perfect day :-)
I tried this idea out last night (in a rush) and I wasn't happy with how it turned out so I gave up and went for sushi instead. It kind of bugs me that I missed a day but I figure after 3 full 365 projects I'm allowed to miss a day here and there.
Hope you're having a great weekend, I'm off to photograph (of all the most random things in the world) a weiner dog race......
I met this beautiful girl last weekend, just took me a second to find out how beautiful she is in the outside and I'm sure I can't even imagine how beautiful she is in the inside... would love to have more time to share Dan!!!!..

I don't usually post a landscape picture. But it's very important for me to share my iceland experience. That was a perfect trip, and i bring back so lot of wonderful memories. Earth is beautiful, nature is precious. We'r so little. That's all i can say anymore.
Happy anniversary my love!
"He’s not perfect. You aren’t either, and the two of you will never be perfect. But if he can make you laugh at least once, causes you to think twice, and if he admits to being human and making mistakes, hold onto him and give him the most you can. He isn’t going to quote poetry, he’s not thinking about you every moment, but he will give you a part of him that he knows you could break. Don’t hurt him, don’t change him, and don’t expect for more than he can give. Don’t analyze. Smile when he makes you happy, yell when he makes you mad, and miss him when he’s not there. Love hard when there is love to be had. Because perfect guys don’t exist, but there’s always one guy that is perfect for you."

Wow, third picture of Indie in a row...
I think I might be obsessed with this sim. xD
Anyway, this is half of my round 1 for Perfect Pitch. The other half is the chorus to a pop song which I have to make up.
Hmm... This could be interesting...
When your week has been tough; the weather has been cold, windy and wet; work has been hellish and sleep has been poor. The thing you need more than anything in the world is a day like this.
Sunday morning walk around Austin, TX. I focussed on the street art of the moment and architecture of the downtown Austin area.
Two varieties of lady's slipper orchids looking their very ladylike best. There was no official orchid show at the New York Botanical Garden this year because of COVID, but garden staff did their best unofficially decorating with their best specimens of orchids. It was much lower key than the usual annual show, but also much more intimate and enjoyable. The Bronx, NYC -- March 7, 2021
For Hilmy because his macro and close up picture is fantastic. Your macro/close up picture really an inspiration for a beginner like me..thank you so much :-)
Gotta love it when a lifer poses in it's typical nesting habitat. Prothonotary Warblers are cavity nesters and there were plenty of tree cavities in the area. They love swampy woodlands & this wetlands section qualifies. Their nickname is swamp warbler. The vegetation below it is aquatic and that is water in the upper left corner of this shot. This guy was taking a break from chasing a rival around the prime territory to forage for insects in the vegetation below him.
