High tide and a gray day yields still waters and perfect reflections on the Sable River, Sable River, NS. Just passed 100,000 views on my photostream. This is the number you get on "You" -- it's much higher in the detail information.
that new fashionista with the maroon braids on (red wheelchair) mtm body.
her dress is by @dollsahoy … a loooong time ago. i think it’s like pullip or momoko size and i had to jerry-rig it to fit her, but sometimes i’m a sucker for matching hair color and clothes.
boots are creatable world; earrings came with the head.
The actual training here had to do with rescuing people from cars swept away due to flash floods. This is the instructor from Northern Virginia.
One more pic below with the following description: Mr. Zoom and I took a nice bike ride down to what is usually the rocky part of the river yesterday. Because of the rains from the remnants of Hurricane Hanna, the water was high. Goochland County was taking advantage of the rushing water to train their new Swift Water Rescue Team.
Summer temps and fall foliage on Campton Bog. It might be my last paddling trip for the season, but I went out on a high, that's for sure.
Wonderful camouflage. The green color matches the color of the rushes. The white lines on sides of the frog's body and legs match the white lines going down the side of the rushes. Zoom in closer, even the texture of the frog's skin matches the texture of the rushes. No wonder these guys are so hard to spot.

Be Your Own Beloved - June
Day 17 - Light
This was a day of perfect, slightly foggy, defused light. The pop of green was perfect to make me stand out in the sea of neutrals. Taken with my iPhone set on my gorilla pod on the boardwalk and using the HISY remote shutter release.
About 100 Waxwings on Coates Crescent this morning, methodically stripping the trees of their berries....

The Perfect Storm
Caersethorn, Dumfries and Galloway
This morning I decided to go for a sunrise at Carsethorn, but I ended up getting a whole lot more than I was expecting. After spending time watching the light change over the Solway without much success, I changed my idea and started waiting for the sun to break through and light up my shot...I wasn't expecting the snow storm that came from behind Criffel to hit me and move out over the Solway. Luckily I bagged this shot just before I got covered in snow and hale, the perfect storm...light, snow and a rainbow..what more could you want:)

This car is perfection! The sound, the look, everything about it just oozes awesome!! This is an old shot from a couple months ago.
My interest in the Portuguese bus scene was brought about by my interest in the AEC marque. The discovery of the northern operator Joao Carlos Soares of Guimaraes sent my enthusiasm up several more notches. I later discovered that they also had a subsidiary, Viacao Costa & Linho Lda who hailed from the small town of Parada half way between Guimaraes and the coast.
The small garage at Parada was the type of place I'd become used to in the independent sector of the British bus industry where I'd spent my working life. The place was somewhat chaotic, but appeared to function well as the buses based there seemed in good order.
The business (along with a couple more of the interesting independents) was acquired shortly afterwards by British owned Arriva, and its appointed Managing Director (a British enthusiast) made no attempt to hide his displeasure at the set-up here! Anyway, I loved it.
Here are two UTIC AECs with body styling from the early (left) and late '70s (right). ON-31-08 has been treated to an up-dated front end.
In the series of a perfect sky this is the third picture. Shot is taken at the heathland of Formerum on the island of Terschelling in the Netherlands. What I mean with a perfect sky, is just a personal opinion.
A nice cloudy sky with a kind of "cloud street|" It's in nice contrast with the green colors of the landscape.

A perfect restoration project for someone or the Army's latest attempt at adaptive camouflage?
The rather unfortunate end for this workhorse has been captured in 7 frame HDR and processed for your pleasure in Photomatix :-)
Do you recognise it Mike?
... is like the perfect storm, it only comes around once in a hundred years. Thanks to my friend SuMo for finding it.

The colour of the water, the shimmering reflections created by the ripples, and the reeds and their reflections are matchless for hiding the Pacific Black Ducks if you happen to lose sight of them.
