Friends and family gathered at Oars and Paddles Park in Indian Harbour Beach, Florida, to celebrate Hunter Babcock's 4th birthday party Oct. 24, 2021. The gifts, games, cake, and decorations paid homage to Hunter's favorite theme: dinosaurs!
After the party, Hunter and his family visited a pumpkin patch at Satellite Beach Methodist Church to select the perfect pumpkins to carve for Halloween.

This patch belonged to my grandfather (Alexander Wilkins - "WIlkie") who drove for McLean out of the Boston / Woburn terminals from the mid 50's through 1971.
I've put it up here as a way to share it with former McLean employees .

Not sure why he loved having both eye patches on, but he managed to get around pretty darn good. SD800-03624
My Bamboo patch froze late this winter, so a lot of the leaves turned brown, and will drop soon. The culms survived just fine this year, tho! This photo is a little hyper, which makes the stand look kinda small. I would have sent a kid into the shot for scale, but the bamboo is just starting to send up the shoots, and I don't want anyone to walk around breaking them off! The bamboo shoots grow astonishingly fast, a few inches a day, until they reach their final height. After that, the only visible growth is more branching and leaves.
This is a 3d image. You will need your red/cyan 3d glasses to get the effect. Remember that the red lens goes over the left eye!
