"The artist's world is limitless. It can be found anywhere, far from where he lives or a few feet away. It is always on his doorstep." ~ Paul Strand
I took the original photo of these lovely pumpkins in, of all places, a pumpkin patch set up in the middle of the desert - Las Vegas, Nevada.
Painted using the Artist's Touch iPad app and fine-tuned in Adobe Photoshop CS4.
I created the art for this patch using a drawing program (Art Expression) on the Amiga; the computer has since unfortunately died, and so I'll have to remake it when we run out of patches. Fortunately, I ordered a thousand of them, and we've only got a couple of schools and we don't teach kids, so that day remains well in the future.
Why is this in my "Amiga" album?
Because I designed it on the Amiga. :)

This is Patch who we met whilst walking over at Keyhaven a couple of weeks ago. She is 14 years old and her owners told us they had had a 'scare' with her the previous week and thought that they were going to lose her. Patch reminded me of my mother's dog, Ruff, who was a collie cross, and I told them that Ruff had lived until she was 17 years old which made them feel a little better.
Patch was enjoying her cycle ride out along the coast. I hope she has many more
Oberheim once sent me this when I ordered a manual from them. It's called Oberview and has some cool info and a neat patch.
Just received my order of Black Rock Ranger widow patches from the vendor. Dude, these are PVC patches.

Earthquake damaged building on its way down, the one right at the end. They have started to remove things from the building ready to be demolished soon. On my walk around the city January 15, 2014 Christchurch New Zealand.
Le patch d'une cliente, qui a suivi le cours "mystère" donné par ma mère.
J'ai rempli tout le fond avec ma petite technique de remplissage perso: le Leonoring...
One of my customer's patch. She attended my mother's "Mystery's patchwork class". I quilted the backgroung with my personal filler: the Leonoring.
You may have seen the "Secret Squirrel" patch around. There's even one clearly visible in the movie Zero Dark Thirty. You can get them, in many colors and materials from Milspec Monkey.
But I designed them. And for a few years, bought hundreds at a time, took orders from locals and obscure military/government/police forums (the US Secret Service were particular fans) and mailed them out all over the world. Eventually, I got tired of this, so gave it to Money Boy to deal with instead.
Note, due to the timeline, if it was indeed worn by someone in Neptune Spear, it looked like the above and not the new MSM ones. If this happened, I personally sold it to the actual guy who wore it. This is entirely plausible.
I'm creating a veg patch in my back garden but I encountered a bit of a problem. Less than a foot down I came across this very neatly laid brick course. It clearly turned a corner and at that point was two courses deep. The remainder was only one course.
It's not the old .... (insert whatever word suits you here that means 'convenience' - netty, outhouse, khasi, whatever) because that's in the shed to the back of the photo. You can see the mark in the floor where the drain was blocked off.
And it wasn't a coal hole - because that's further along the row that has the thunderbox in it. (to the left)
The bricks are not old. Judging from their size and condition I'd say mid 20th century. Although their condition implies they are slightly older than the wall at the back.
As the proper archaeologist that I am I photographed them, recorded them and dug them up. Then I dug in lots of sand (it's very clayey round here) and some home made compost and I plan to put in a row of beans in the near future.
But the question remains..... what was this structure? Best suggestion I've heard yet is that it could have been foundations for a WWII air raid shelter.
Any ideas?
