Finally finished repairing my jeans. They're of course my absolute favorite, and might be even more so with the fun patch!
A photo of my kids taken at the Pumpkin Patch. I've used this as an example of how multi-shot mode on your camera can come in handy to capture kids looking/smiling at the camera. everydaygiggles.com/2011/11/boom-boom-boom/
Patch schools in the paddock in preparation for the Grade I Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs in Louisville, KY. 5.3.2017
Another wonky 9 patch lattice completed.
I still have left-over blocks, so another one of these is on the list.
Simple stitch in the ditch quilting. Taught my DD how to hand sew binding on this one. I am proud to say she caught on to the ladder stitch right away and did a fabulous job.
I let my (very traditional) mom pick the solid for this quilt. I couldn't believe it when she bypassed the whites and pulled this turquoise from my stash. Looks like I may be starting to rub off on her. :)
"The artist's world is limitless. It can be found anywhere, far from where he lives or a few feet away. It is always on his doorstep." ~ Paul Strand
I took the original photo of these lovely pumpkins in, of all places, a pumpkin patch set up in the middle of the desert - Las Vegas, Nevada.
Painted using the Artist's Touch iPad app and fine-tuned in Adobe Photoshop CS4.
I created the art for this patch using a drawing program (Art Expression) on the Amiga; the computer has since unfortunately died, and so I'll have to remake it when we run out of patches. Fortunately, I ordered a thousand of them, and we've only got a couple of schools and we don't teach kids, so that day remains well in the future.
Why is this in my "Amiga" album?
Because I designed it on the Amiga. :)

This is Patch who we met whilst walking over at Keyhaven a couple of weeks ago. She is 14 years old and her owners told us they had had a 'scare' with her the previous week and thought that they were going to lose her. Patch reminded me of my mother's dog, Ruff, who was a collie cross, and I told them that Ruff had lived until she was 17 years old which made them feel a little better.
Patch was enjoying her cycle ride out along the coast. I hope she has many more
I love making these! They are so fun! Tutorial available at Sew Kind of Wonderful. I was worried this one would be too dark, but the linen really lightened it up.
Made with Kona Snow, Kona Cadet, Kona Lime, and linen.

You may have seen the "Secret Squirrel" patch around. There's even one clearly visible in the movie Zero Dark Thirty. You can get them, in many colors and materials from Milspec Monkey.
But I designed them. And for a few years, bought hundreds at a time, took orders from locals and obscure military/government/police forums (the US Secret Service were particular fans) and mailed them out all over the world. Eventually, I got tired of this, so gave it to Money Boy to deal with instead.
Note, due to the timeline, if it was indeed worn by someone in Neptune Spear, it looked like the above and not the new MSM ones. If this happened, I personally sold it to the actual guy who wore it. This is entirely plausible.
Joel Paschal shows a bag of plastic debris collected from the Great Garbage Patch, a low pressure zone in the middle of the Pacific Ocean twice the size of Texas that is filled with floating man-made garbage. Last year, Paschal and another marine biologist sailed a raft called Junk, shown behind him, made out of an old plane fuselage and 15,000 Nalgene water bottles, in order to publicize the problem of plastic garbage.
