After photographing this pair of Ospreys the better part of the day bringing in nesting materials, fish and some mating in between, At sundown the female flew off and landed on the top of this dead palm just about enough room for her to stand on, then comes the male which followed her and lands next to her. There they stood feather to feather with this beautiful view at days end. Partners for life, how cool is that!

Made for a Swap on Ravelry. My swap partner mentioned that they liked the designs of Paul Poiret ( as do I). Immediately I thought of this - the most famous of his 'Lampshade' tunics from 1912 - mainly because I've always thought that it looked like an outfit for a doll. And I do think it makes a perfect outfit for Blythe :-)
My Violetta modelling the outfit minus the Turban hat. I painted the roses onto the silk with silk-screening goop. The tunic hem is wired.
Quite pleased with the draped skirt - this was the 2nd attempt, the 1st was really big at the hips! The belt on the tunic is a separate piece. I also sent some pinkish tights (P Poiret made it acceptable for a fashionable lady to wear stockings that were the colour of 'skin') and some strappy shoes.
Last weekend Hauska &Partner Latvia team had an exciting team building training that was full of adventures, emotions, surprises, and also extreme moments. From building raft to climbing ropes and sharing last dry clothes – these were the activities that brought Hauska & Partner Latvia team members even closer.

We then went through some of Shiroma Sensei's partner drills, and these were very similar to our wazas. Shiroma's son gives me a little extra help. I learn better by doing; I'm kind of a spaz when just told "Step back into this stance and execute this block." Once he showed me which way I needed to step, though, I was golden.
