The Art Partners were among the first to explore the eighth annual Atlanta Contemporary Jewelry Show in an exclusive way! Upon arrival, guests enjoyed beverages and sweets before they were introduced to two wonderful docents, Debra Lynn Gold, a jeweler and teacher who organized the event, and Mindy Spritz, a past curator of the Spruill Center for the Arts. The group interacted privately with 30 presenting artists at the show. Besides being dazzled by the beautiful works of art, guests learned about materials and techniques. Spirits were up, conversation flowed, and smiles abounded.

PARTNERS (Providing Advancement Resources to Nursing Education, Research and Students) recently held a Fall Coffee membership drive at Hotel Granduca. Chaired by Cathy Borlenghi, guest speakers included PARTNERS scholar Evelyn Compean; Assistant Professor Jing Wang, PhD, MPH, RN; and NICU nurse Lee Ann Badum, BSN, RNC-NIC. PARTNERS, the support organization for the School of Nursing, helps provide resources for nursing scholarships, faculty research grants and endowed professorships. With a current endowment of $1.6 million, PARTNERS has provided over 100 full-tuition scholarships to nursing students, more than 45 faculty research grants and four PARTNERS endowed professorships.
The American Red Cross partnered with the Jersey City Police and Fire Departments to host the second annual Jersey City Police and Fire 9/11 Memorial blood drive sponsored by Suburban Propane on Monday, September 12 in Jersey City where blood donors rolled up a sleeve in honor of those who lost their lives in the 2001 terrorist attacks.

One of our best good friends at the Lakeshore Foundation here in Alabama has been Lori. She teaches the ladies about all sorts of cool adapted games that can be played by anyone.
