Shane's Flying Disc Show meets St Augustine Beach 1987. Shane picked up a part time job with Morey's movers between tours! Surprisingly, I don't actually spend ALL of my time at work, because outside of working a part time job, I am a full time student. This is a photo I took during this class actually when I first found out about the selfie album. This photo is actually the one that inspired me to just start using photos of me working whether that be school work or my job.
On weekends, I had a part-time job at Wal-mart. Here, I'm showing kids how to decorate rice crispy cakes!
Today was awesome, I left work early because I wasn't feeling so well. Pick-up my son and I got someone to work for me at my part-time job. The weather was o nice that Kid 1 and I went outside, played took a walk around the neighboorhood like we used to. It allowed me to finally get a picture of him where he wasn't actually posing. I really enjoyed watching him play (no other kids were out), but mostly what I enjoyed was remembering walking him in the stroller through the neighborhood when he was baby. He told me he doesn't remember it, but when he was a baby, he and I walked at least twice per week throughout the neighborhhood. I spent so much time with him when I was working for myself, and I now I don't even get half of that time. Its amazing how simple things can bring back such strong memories.

Hey kids. Holy Moley it's a long time since i've posted. Well, I guess it's better to get back on the horse than never. Sorry for such a long absence..... life has been crazy in many ways, but no excuses. I want to get back on to the 52 (just missing a few months). So, for those of you that don't know, I started a new part time job with 9 News here in Denver, shooting for their Metromix.com website. It's mainly events and promotioins, so there is a lot of on camera flash/quick snapshots that take place but every once in a while you get to grab a cool shot. This one is from my first day on the job. I had to photograph a Guiness promotion, they were releasing their new 250 year anniversary stout (it's pretty tasty if you haven't had it yet.) I grabbed this shot right after the bartender poured it so it's got the little racing Guiness dudes (see Guiness commercial to know what i'm talking about.) This was available light, hand held. Unfortunately, the first day I shot some in JPG mode instead of RAW so I can't bring down that highlight, but I thought the shot as a whole is pretty cool. I bumped contrast and saturation in post, and then did some "selective sharpening" thanks to a little photo tutorial from Mr. Miller (thanks dude). I will try to keep up on the 52 from now on, and try to post some old shots from my hiatus as well. Sorry for the leave of absence, hope I'm still allowed in the group.....

This was an excellent opportunity to explore full-time and part-time jobs and internships with some of our region's best employers, as well as some opportunities outside of our local area. Even if the students are not immediately looking for a job or internship, it's never too early to start networking!!

HIlda and Kays is a Group Home for Adults with Intellectual Disabilities. It's actually two homes, almost directly across the street from each other in a beautiful historic neighborhood in Forest Grove, Oregon, just two blocks from the 57 (frequent service) bus stop.
I live a few doors down from the group home. The residents are LOVELY. They are very independent, friendly, fun and sweet. They regularly make me laugh - they come over sometimes and hang out while I'm doing yard work.
The full time job is described as "a laid-back weekender position more fun than work... it's 24 hours in one day and you're even paid to sleep or study. Light housekeeping duties, assisting with meal preparation and general living skills TV, Movies, Board games, etc." The part time job is described as "a weekday position perfect for someone wanting just a few hours of income per day. It's a craft and recreation position from 10AM to 2PM Mon-Fri."

Kim: [starts crying] we’re never going to be able to be together, we’ll never be able to get married. My Dad will completely disown me and then i’ll be cut off. I will have no money and everyone in the Chinese community will not talk to me ever again.
Bronson: i know baby. it’s going to be ok. only our friends know about what’s going on. and my parents are cool with you. we’re still studying. i’m working part time and you taught me how to save my money.
Kim: right, i’m glad the both of us are studying. continue saving your money. i just finished my other part time job. my parents are paying for all my stuff right now. i may start another part time job, if i want to. you know, i’ve always been a good saver (since I was in Kindergarten). Something my Popo (ISFJ Pakistani Chinese American), who barely finished 6th grade taught me. My Mom (INTJ Pakistani Chinese American) also taught me to save my money. the both of us are frugal.
Bronson: right, thank you for teaching me to be more frugal.
Kim: Uncle James (INFJ Pakistani Chinese American) and Aunty Leeshung (ISFJ Bombay Chinese Canadian American) have a small Townhouse. He works his butt off and saves a lot. He’s always been cheap, frugal, and doesn’t care too much for things. He mostly likes food, his wife (when she keeps her mouth shut and doesn’t give him too much attitude), and son (INTP Nathan Chang). He would like his daughter, Kristina (INTP Chinese Laotian American) more if she followed his directions, closed her legs, and stopped giving her boyfriends money.
[Notes] I love seeing Tiffany and Gary together. Gary is smart, handsome, and kind. He loves Tiffany so much. She is beautiful, serious, well off, and semi kind (boundaries). They enjoy having sex with one another, eating Krispy Kreme donuts, and Clubbin’ with Gary’s Dad and Step Mom. Being with them is peaceful. There’s a chill vibe to their relationship.
Bhanu has a part time job working at the Apple Store in Burlingame, so I just had to get mine from him!

She's one of the kids at my preschool that I have a part time job at. I spend the end of my day usually with this little cute one. Very talkative and loud, but her cuteness and sweetness makes up for it.
The economy is bad and so it wouldn't surprise you that all kinds of people have to go out and get a part time job to make ends meet.......
