This guy makes bank on driving kids around for a few hours a day for a few days out of the month. Would be the perfect part time job, but i think he is asking too much for someone to buy on his investment.
The epic journey just to get our test strips. We use the mail order service through my insurance so we pay a $10 copay for three months of supplies. Nice, for sure. But, the first two times the supplies took two weeks to get here, we ran out of test strips and had to borrow from T1 friends.
This time, we had her prescription changed so she can use 13 strips per day, thus we can order the strips earlier. The order was shipped all the way to Santa Fe and returned for an insufficient address. They sent a postcard (to our insufficient address) to clarify, which resulted in no clarification - thanks UPS - so the order was returned to Las Vegas.
Upon my phone call, the prescription company sent the test strips to us to the correct address. The address, although delivered to multiple times in the past, was automatically changed within their/UPSs system. This took over 3 weeks and we were down to 2 bottles of test strips by the time we got the box. Dealing with all these prescriptions sometimes feels like a part time job.

One of my brother's part time jobs is at a movie theatre. He has to get more dressed up for that than I do for my job at a live theatre!

This enlarger was given to me by my former boss at my part-time job after he retired...I finally brought it home a few days ago when people were cleaning out our storage room and asked me to take anything that belonged to me.

Since Tyler and I got engaged in December, we decided to really buckle down and save our money for our wedding. We're not extraordinarily rich, we don't come from wealthy families, and we have stinky part-time jobs that are enough to get by comfortably. So, we decided that every little penny will clink into a delightfully smelling old cherry jar. We also decided to surprise ourselves when the time comes to count it all. No pre-counting. After 5 1/2 years of dating, I'm proud to be engaged to my only love. This change jar will make our wedding that much more worth the wait. Decisions are good.

aaaah....I really miss my 50mm :(

I started with the manual focus prime (50mm f1.8 AIS) because in 2007 I didn't have any part time job to support this expensive hobby. I still remember the very 1st shot I took during my mate's birthday party because I was amazed with the smooth bokeh it produces.
Few months later when money was good (part time job) I bought the AF version. Damn!!! the very 1st thing I'd noticed was the super fast AF (bokeh was the same with the AIS version). Since then it has always been on my D80 body and I rarely change it to my kit lens (a terrible lens...usable but terrible ).
Years has passed and I felt my 60mm macro was better than my 50mm, so I sell the 50mm to my friend, knowing it's going to be in good hands. It wasn't such a huge regret because money was tight at that time and my goal was to get a better & faster camera and a couple of other tele-lens.
Now my aim is the Sigma 50mm f1.4 (better than any 50mm prime except for the Canon 50mm f1.2L...I mean common??). And the Sigma weigh half a kilo with 77mm filter thread!!! Well like before, a summer job would help finance this dream... :)

High school students from throughout the state participate in Jump Start, a three week career development program for students who are blind or severely visually impaired. The program is sponsored by the Department of Human Services Division of Services for the Blind (DSB) and the Arkansas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired (ASBVI). DSB placed students in part-time jobs in the mornings and paid them minimum wage. Students participated in educational and recreational activities in the afternoons and evenings. Students stayed during the week on campus at ASBVI. The program is designed to assist students in transitioning from high school to employment or post-secondary education and increase their confidence in social situations.

The north state was to be sunny/smoky (due to wildfires) with slightly above normal temps at this time. By Wednesday thru the upcoming weekend, Northern California was to be mostly clear/smoky with temps cooling to near normal by Thursday & Friday. Pray for rain!

Mei Mei: but dad, people like it when you’re well rounded. getting a job looks good on your resume. i want to learn how to make money on my own. all my friends have part time jobs already.
