While the addition of 195,000 US jobs in June was greeted as a sign of growing strength in the US economy, the nation still has 2.2 million fewer jobs than when the recession began. It will take another 10 months at the current pace of job creation to reach the pre-crisis number of jobs. And, as these charts show, a good deal of new job creation has been in part-time positions. Part time employment spiked after 2008 and has come down only slightly from its post-recession peak. In the latest jobs report, part-time jobs rose again.
November 18, 2010 - Our daughter, Cheryl, went back to work this week after being on maternity leave since Blake was born. She is lucky to have been offered a part time job in her district, so she will only be working 2-3 days a week. I'm even luckier, as I will be babysitting for my adorable grandson every Thursday! 3. I said I was going to post a photo of all my domiciles. I didn't say they were going to be good. I took photos of several former residences on my way back to Chicago last weekend, but I was in kind of a hurry, and it showed in the pictures. Most are blurry. I'm going to redo those. I'm going ahead and posting this one, though, as it's in a location I never go to, and I don't want to have to go back. This is 1903 Jonquil Drive in Jeffersonville, Indiana, part of the Gardenside Terrace apartment complex. This was my first taste of apartment living.
As far back as my earliest memories, my father had been a preacher in a Southern Baptist Church. This was a part-time job; during the week, he worked for a steel fabricator, drawing blue-prints. Midlife career changes are a tradition in my family, though, so in the early 1980s--about the time I was 10 years old--my father felt the calling to make church a full-time profession. He quit his job, sold the house, and moved us all up to Jeffersonville, just across the river from Louisville, so he could attend the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and complete the Biblical equivalent of an associates degree.
We lived here, in the townhouse apartment on the left. Back then, instead of that siding these buildings had some sort of Swiss chalet look, with large wooden beams forming Xs. The non-brick portion of the buildings were painted in '70s refrigerator colors, olive greens and brownish-yellows. This was a really sketchy neighborhood in those days. Some kid disappeared from here the week we moved in, which meant I spent most of the first six months locked inside. The parking lots were full of broken-down, wheelless cars, and I'm sure I saw what I would now identify as drug transactions. I was a kid, though. I didn't notice any of this. I just liked riding my bike around the neighborhood, once we'd been there long enough for my mother to let me.

Synopsis
The story centers around a spirited high school girl named Marika. She keeps herself busy with the space yacht club and her part-time job at a high-class retro café. One day, two strangers suddenly appear and claim to be subordinates of her dead father. They demand that she assume command of the space pirate ship Bentenmaru. A privateer ship's compact was made during a war of independence a century ago, and according to that compact, the ship must be inherited by the captain's next direct descendant. Marika finds herself embarking on a new life as a space pirate.

Been very busy lately with my new job and part-time job as wedding photographer & videographer. Doesn't have free time to do photoshoot.... it's been a couple of months I haven't checked the flickr. my dad bought this car to turn into an autograss class 6. it had a 1.8 engine fitted. it was that good he mot'd it. my bro had a part time job while in 6th form and borrowed thee car to get there quickly after school. this is what happened.

I understand this is a hard life.
I can go into the details but it's just too hard to word how difficult it is to watch your family struggle to keep their home. Feed their kids. Themselves.
It's hard to see my Mother, who has constantly kept at LEAST two steady part time jobs her entire life to support us.only to hurt her arm and recieve zero benifets for the two years it takes for the system to give her the help she and my family needed ages ago.
It's hard to be a full time college student with her whole future planned out but only enough government aid to attend community college.
I have promise.
I know once I get to a four year college I will excel in my area of study and make a name for myself.
But that's not enough these days.
For anyone really, not just me. I'm not special. There are hundreds of thousands of kids in my situation.
And although I do not fully agree with some of the demands these people are making...I can agree with one thing.
I am part of the 99%.

I have started a second part time job and just seem to be working all of the time now. That means less dolly time for me, unfortunately.
So what are my hopes and dreams for the future? what do I want to achieve?
Not everyone knows what they want to be when they are this age. I am slowly
getting to know and getting ideas of want i want to be. one of the things
that is an options to my future right now is a day care. maybe just as a
part time job, but it is defiantly something i want to do. I love taking
care of people and I love hanging out and playing with kids. their cute
smiles and soft shy giggles make my day complete. how the run around and
everything they do is so very innocent. something i want in my future is
kids. :)
Yep. I was too tired to do anything creative at this point.
I had this grand idea of doing something involving the fac tthat I FINALLY found a part-time job AND I got accepted into the graduate program I wanted to get into. :-D
And yeah, I got busy and it didn't happen, so this is what you get. :-P

I must say.......she has such lovely hair. Betsy started working at my small part time job recently so I had not worked with her much yet. Just like Sarah my stranger number 3.Betsy is a massage therapist and I finally got a moment to talk with her today, our first conversation and I immediately asked her if I could take her photo. She had no problem so we stepped out back and I snapped the image by an equally vibrant tree. She let me know she was from all over really but mainly Puerto Rico, though I would have never thought with her fantastic red hair and freckles. When she speaks though you can slight hear this fabulous accent. Thanks for the photo Betsy!
