I would like to introduce you to this lovely young lady Katy.
Katy is a full time student working on her Assocsiate of Arts degree. She works two part time jobs, one of which is at "A World of Difference" health food store as an assistant manager.
I've lost my voice and have had an irritated throat the last few days (thankfully it's not painful).
So I dropped by the store in search of some slippery elm tea, which is very helpful for easing a sore throat. (Yes, I brought my camera thinking I might have a good stranger's photo op.)
Katy was very outgoing, enthusiastic and helpful. She gave me some free samples of a "lung and thoat" tea and went in back to look up the ingredients. Sure enough slippery elm was one of them.
She also gave me some free samples of a good multi-vitamin (which I really need to be taking).
I bought a bottle of gingerale and asked her if she was camera shy. She said "no" and was very open to participating in the project.

This was one of the main marinas in Oxnard. Hundreds of couples in their 30s, 40s and (mostly) 50s own boats here and many no longer work. They just drift down to Baja, Mexico in the winter and hang down there. Some have second, part-time jobs down there. I did hear a lot of complaining about how the prices of basically everything in Mexico have gone way up from the halcyon days of the 1980s. Living on the cheap in North America is not what it once was.

On Thursday, August 27, Stevenson University’s Office of Career services held a Part-time Job Fair. During the fair, students were able to network with a diverse group of local employers and Stevenson faculty and staff to learn about a variety of job opportunities.
There is a very big park which is not very far from my house. A lot of people ride bike, Jogging and hiking in that park during weekend. but this is first time I went to the park for a walk and found some flowers for my friend's party. This place is fatastic and I should go often.
Jimmy was fishing on a bridge over a brook. He is 15 years old (sorry, i thought he should be much older than that at first ) and he already fished for 13 years! Currently he is a high school student and had a part time job in summer break.
To me, he is an expert in fishing. He told me a lot about fishing which I can't understand and remember. He said that there is 85 species of fish in this brook and he already got 75 species of them. During the time we talked, he got several fish, most of them were sunnie. He even told me how to distinguish if the fish is a male or a female.

So I have a part time job baking cookies. It's not so glamorous, but in our economic status... WHY NOT?! I have perfected the art of making ready-made, pre-shaped cookie dough into hot, baked, sinful delights. I also attract A LOT of women with the scent of "Double-Fudge Chocolate Obsession" cookies in the air. But these kinds of women are usually NOT my type...

Britt Hicks - A homeschooled, 16 year old fella who commutes an hour everyday into downtown Nashville for this part time job, because "you can't beat the money". He works at a very busy, very famous barbecue restaurant on Broadway, seasoning and cooking meat. He was the only employee on the small upper level of the restaurant at the time, and was very willing to help me out. This was only his fourth day on the job so hopefully I didn't get him fired.

Here are the pictures which I taken last year in the Bushy Park, it was a foggy day and I have to say it is really cold.
Whereas, what funny is, unique weather gave me a unique chance to take unique pictures. Especially when I was walking next to the main road, wet weather cover the grass and spider web and create a special shape for it, fantastic view. The visual view of this picture feels like this spider web is disappearing, just like my dream.
The meanings behind this picture to me is actually quite sad, because as a international postgraduate student, I once lived in London for 2 years and after I came back at UK in September last year, I was so happy and exciting. I told myself I will use this chance to find a job and gain salary and maybe gain the permission to live here, I tried to find a part-time job and keep updated my CV, whereas, as you know, the UK government just changed their immigration policy, if the company want to hire me, they have to pay 34 percent extra tax to the government, at last, my dream to live at UK just gone and I have to back to my hometown.

This cake was the turning point that got my butt in gear to start doing cakes as a part time job instead of just a hobby. Thank you Darrin & Kate for allowing me to do this!
This beautiful, pink hydrangea has graced our co-op garden all summer and now the vivid pink is fading away. In one more week, summer vacation will be over and I must return to the school library, to my part time job.
The reality is that I work three part time jobs while going to school full time. I'll graduate with a photography degree in the spring, but for now my weekends are spent selling educational toys to kids out of a kiosk in a mall. This is my view.

Maestro at work.... After his retirement, my Father could not stay still( I think I get that part of my personality from him ). He took on a part-time job at McDonalds, simply because he has been in a office environment for 35+years. Aside from making the best tasting French Fries and Burgers in the FarEast, my Father began taking cooking classes at the Culinary Institute in Nagoya. He just learned how to make Soba, Ramen, and Italian Pasta.... Hmmmm, perhaps someday, a joint venture???????
Thanks to my advisor and professor, Dr. Fischer, I have a part-time job just 5 minutes away from campus. The manager of the fitness center at Molina Healthcare contacted her and she passed word of the job opportunity to me. He previously employed an Otterbein student and wanted to continue the trend. This is great because employers love people from Otterbein, so hopefully once I graduate another student at Otterbein can take my place! The possibilities are endless at and around Otterbein!
