Santa Cruz Pacific Avenue.

The cars narrow the road such that only one vehicle can pass at a time, effectively functioning as chokers & calming traffic.

A livery cab driver passed me as I was shutting off the engine. He looked at the MINI, then at me, and nodded in approval.

Even though I'm absolutely out of practice as far as parallel parking, I still can pull it off, in heavy traffic and under pressure.

Okay, it also helps that Radcliffe is diminutive.

Even when you align the camera perfectly parallel to the object behind you, the camera deceives you into thinking you are closer to the behind object than actual reality: there’s usually 5 to 6 inches more room than what the camera shows on the screen.

It looks like they're touching, but there was actually some daylight between the bumpers.

I have many questions!!!

Parking this thing takes some getting used to; I blame this on the Equinox’s massive turning radius. It’s over 40 feet, which is by far the worst within this competitive set. Don’t even bother opting for the 19 inch wheels; those suckers will give you a 42.6 feet turning radius, nearly the same needed to turn no less than a Chevy Suburban!

I looked at Google Streetview, and it appears that the painted sign is from the early 2010s. For a second I thought the artwork included depictions of several people standing on a beach, but those turned out to be areas where the paint has fallen away.

Mambo is also the name of a famous men's cologne by Liz Claiborne. You could buy some at Walmart and wear it to dinner.
