Day 9.
Tonight we went out for a meal and I volunteered to drive since my husband does like a drink or three and I'm not that bothered. We park on the street if we can in this town and there was a space so I parallel parked and as you can see from the above, a two manoeuver perfect park was the result ...
What annoys me most though is that my husband was actually stunned that I could park the car like that. It's a stereotypical reaction, thinking that women can't possibly drive or park cars as well as men.
Please don't get me started.
I think I'm a good driver. I get road-rage every time I get in the car though, when I witness other people's poor driving or lack of manners on the road. I don't think the sex of the driver has anything to do with how they drive. Some people should never be let behind the steering wheel of a car, and other people just get on with it and have to put up with assumptions.
(This is not a great image for a 365 but having been out I'm running out of time and poor driving is another of my pet peeves..)
Hello Kitty! Desperately trying to get done with these France photos so I can get to the ones I took in October! Happy weekend!

i can't imagine having to pass a parallel camel parking section of a driving exam. a car was stressful enough...

Bike lanes were laid out seconds before taking this photo, with a guy carrying the paint can actually just behind me. I'd return later that night to find the final markings in place. The new bike lanes run along southbound 10th Street NW (a one-way street) from Rhode Island Avenue (at Shaw Jr High School) to New York Avenue (at City Center).
