A last minute check of my photo gear before packing it all up for travel!
62-366/2016 A Leap of Faith
I have the neatest collection of hand-painted "rock art" and I love all of it dearly. They are mostly "river rocks" with all sorts of beautiful hand-painted designs. Most of mine are "Lat's Originals" - - - and are called "rock cats". I have one that was done by another artist and also two beautiful butterflies, one a Pipevine Swallowtail and the other a Tiger Swallowtail. If you turn the butterflies over, there is a painting of each one's caterpillar on the back.
Documentation of us slowly and laboriously packing of all our stuff in boxes (minus the gazillion bags of things that have gone to Goodwill or the trash), followed by the professional movers' much more efficient loading of our things out of the condo and into an LA-bound truck! It's now oh-so-empty in here...
Carefully packing my horde of chips and candy into a small bin so they aren't crushed in the suitcase. This worked out very well.

Packing for 3 adventurous weeks in Alaska. Three pairs of boots. Two pairs of skis... It won't all fit... What should I cut out? Flip-flops? Slippers? What would you not leave home without?
Getting the load a little lighter by gifting my art. Woot. As I'm digging deeper into the abyss I call my studio, I'm finding a lot of small mosaics I've made over the years. It's fun to see how far I've come but I really have no need to save these, would never sell them nor would I at this point gift them. But I can't toss them out either. They are all my art! The only thing left to do is abandon them in hopes someone or a few someone's will find them delightful, take them home for themselves or gift them and share the love. I walked around the apartment complex this morning and left these two gift baskets with a note letting people know it's okay to take them. I have more to give away and hope to get them dropped off somewhere within the complex here next week. Yay!!
Packing mania! House move this weekend and we're not ready!! Looking forward to a fresh start.

I ordered an amazing hat from Niko last week for only 25 Euros. I will wear this hat all night, while I sleep, even. It is my favourite hat. Blam!

I wanted to capture something showing a packed car with clues to packing. It didn't work out quite the way I wanted. I do like that the sleeping bag is in focus, and you can see someone in the background actually packing the car, but on the same token I don't know if it is a strong enough photograph compared to others in this album
Packing, purging, and sorting the stuff (Read: junk) that we've gathered in 3 years in the shed. Most of those boxes are computer parts. Oye.
