I frutti
Inspiration struck me tonight, but thanks to everyone for their suggestions. They got the creative juices flowing again. I considered "The Calm Before The Storm" but the fact that the winds were @ 40 mph belied the "calm" part. It was anything but that day.
6 miles form home, on Lake Toho, in Florida. Definitely, my lucky day.

This amazing place (called the Almendres Cromlech) is one of the most ancient megalthitc "circles" in Europe (biggest in Iberia) - 2.000 years before Stonehenge still today the experts do not fully understand their meanting ... in the middle of "nowhere", near the ancient city of Evora, Portugal, it is a "sight to see" --- it is so big and vast and so many different shapes of "rocks" ... in the middle there is always a "Tree of Life" for it was a place once used to worship the Land, Mother Earth and the Sun ... if you saw my last picture you will see why I put this set... I hope you Enjoy it as i did when I was there.

Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die,
Life is a broken winged bird that cannot fly.
Hold fast to dreams, for when dreams go
Life is a barren field,
Frozen with snow.

Alpaca Suri

The "Stucky Mill" is one of the most famous and symbolic buildings in Venice.
Built at the end of 1800, it employed 1500 workers, producing about 2500 hundred kilograms flour every day.
It definitely closed in 1955, after a long period of crisis and a very strong industrial action: 500 workers occupied the buildings for one mounth.

Here we have a family of mushrooms of some kind. It was a great find on a walk by the river just as the last of winter sun was shining giving that beautiful warm gold spectrum. No PP work other than a mild sharpening, all the colour is from the sun didnt even use a filter, you really cant beat such shooting conditions. I have provided yet another view large link, just so you can appreciate the texture on the underside of the fungus. BTW if anyone can provide an ID let me know and i will change the title.

Explored #59. Thank you!
Taken at dusk (at this latitude, the blue hour last for much longer time than near to the equator, which is a great advantage for night photographers!), 15 minutes walk from my hotel in downtown Helsinki, a place called Ursinin Kallio.
4 exposures digital blending, the longest exposure being 2 minutes at f/22. No color processing, these are the colors captured by the D300 sensor.

The magestic alley Barbosa Rodrigues, the main entrance to the famous Botanical Gardens of Rio de Janeiro (founded by King D.Joao VI in 1808 and a fave also during the Empire) is indeed a most beautiful and relaxing place - once you start you day walking along it towards the Muses Fountain along the huge palm trees you feel a bit in paraside ... I could not help myself but look up at the neverending ancient trees (Palmeiras Imperiais - Imperial Palm Trees) which seemed to touch the sky : I would like to share with you all the wonders of this place (Unesco Biosphere Reserve) and ... take you for a stroll, even if only "virtual". Once again thanks to my dear brasilian friends, a tip for travellers ... and just ENJOY !

aún no agotado,
