I made this cake for a great friend's leaving party. He's a pharmacist, and we worked on a cardiac ward, so all the drugs are cardiac related.
Bottom layer is chocolate fudge and top layer is red velvet!
Everything is edible, aside from the board!
Cant visit the almost ghost town of parksville without taking some shots of my favorite abandoned pharmacy. taken through the window.

The royal pharmacy was created at the end of the 16th century to supply herbal medicines to the court. Glass retorts, pestles, mortars and jars fill the gilded shelves, while the reconstructed distillery shows how they might have been used.
During the reign of Philip II the Royal Pharmacy became an appendage of the royal family and ordered the supply of medicines, a role that continues today. The bottles were made in factories of La Granja de San Ildefonso and the Buen Retiro, there are also other items of 17th century made in Talavera de la Reina pottery.

It's buyer beware at CVS Pharmacy. Right under the Prevent the Flu sign are
various products that are touted to prevent colds, but are completely and
totally ineffective. Here's a rundown of what CVS is selling in this
display.
Zicam comes in a variety of products, none of which work, and some of which
can cause harm. Zicam Allergy Relief is a so-called homeopathic remedy, and
homeopathy is, well, quackery. For more about homeopathic remedies, start
here: www.homeowatch.org. Zicam also makes zinc-based nasal sprays,
which can cause you to lose your sense of smell:

Airborne and the CVS-branded version, Airshield, are also a waste of money.
The product, a vitamin supplement, claims to boost your immune system. And
if you use Airborne, and hand-washing, you can "significantly reduce your
chances of catching a cold." What do you get when you buy Airborne? You've
just spent $4.99 for a reminder to wash your hands. You can read more about
Airborne here:

Cold-Eeze is another homeopathic product that's a waste of money. Here's a
short article about Cold-Eeze:

There you go: I was waiting in line at CVS, had my camera, photographed the
display that's right next to the pharmacy counter, and ended up with one of
those photographs that's indeed worth a thousand words (or more.)
It's unfortunate that CVS, one of the country's largest pharmacy chains,
contributes to scamming people by selling products that have no medical
value. It's like traveling back to the turn of the century when any cure
that could be advertised was. It would be one thing to place all of these
products in a separate part of the store (perhaps near the cigarettes), but
when they're placed in the same space as actual drugs with proven medical
benefits, such as Pepcid and Tylenol, that's deceptive marketing.
The pharmacy transition has already been completed at the Walmart in nearby Olive Branch, and looks quite spiffy (complete with cool icons on the glass consultation doors there)! Here in Hernando, crews are a little bit further behind, but will likely get it done soon enough... and concerning flac lists, I believe this is the first one of 2024, since I remember exceeding my goal of 400 unique artists by 2023's end:
