Pretty peas!

The white hold on top of the combine store take around 7 tonnes of peas, then they are decanted into a truck which drives alongside the combine harvester until the hold is emptied.

I've ordered some wool bears for Pea. This is one of bears was sleeping with Pea every day - to protect her from the nightmare. This bear looks pitiful and ugly? ^^

I’ve mentioned before that I enjoy growing edibles because they’re beautiful. I think cabbage nestled in the flowerbed among other plants is really lovely as are so many other edible plants. Last fall I planted some ‘Golden Sweet Snow Peas’, but the frost hit before they could produce their bountiful crop, so I didn’t get to see or taste any of the golden pods. I did get to enjoy the beautiful purple blooms at least, I’ve never seen anything like it in an edible pea.

These pea flowers were teeming with bees! I am still new to native bees and would only hazard a guess this is Lasioglossum sp. There were so many, it was a delight to photograph them! Found in the mid Blue Mountains, NSW.

These are mostly pea aphids in alfalfa. While you can have a lot of pea aphids in alfalfa the generally do not do that much damage to the alfalfa. Much of the reason why is that we have many predators and parasitoids that control them. -Ken Wise

A wonderfully tasty and seriously quick side of green peas & pea shoots. Farm to table will be window sill to table if you grow your own pea shoots, it only takes 10 days!

These round rice crackers looked suspiciously like and tasted like a wasabi pea.

Not really that spicy and although the ingredient list doesn't indicate there are wasabi peas thrown in the mix, I found some floating around in the package. Is there such a thing as peas allergies? Imagine if one of those individuals mistakenly consumed one in this rice cracker only advertised snack. :O
