Garden experts help please! Does anyone know what's going on here?
The plants are nice and tall and robust except suddenly the very tips of new growth is starting to darken and curl. Most of the plant is fine... but it's not getting better. What's wrong and how can I fix it? They're so close to flowering and I am very invested in these peas. :(
Latvian agricultural variety from Heritage Seed Library. 5ft plants are late maturing, with bicolour purple flowers borne in pairs. Pods are slim and silky smooth. Fresh peas taste unusually good for a field pea.
From 2009 pea trials
The sweet peas I planted are finally up in the renovated bed by the basement window, next to the tulips. This is the first time I've planted them from seed, so curious how they will grow. I added bagged (relatively inexpensive) "manufactured" topsoil from Kent's to this bed -- obviously a lot of their organic source material is wood chips.

I've been working on handprinted fabrics. I first design some artwork and then carve a stamp of it. I use the stamps to print the design, one by one.
I did this on 100% organic fabric
Manystem Pea (Lathyrus polymorphus), also called Hoary Vetchling. Oregon Trail Ruts State Historic Site ("Guernsey Ruts"), Platte County, Wyoming.
This is a picture of the last of my spring peas -- full and plump and almost ready to pick -- and what they looked like a few days before I had time to pick them. Unfortunately late July 3rd the deer came in and ate 80% of them (plus all my beans, the tops of my cucumbers, my impatiens, my sweet potato vines, and two of my young watermelon.) So bummed!
41/365. Originally I was just shooting the flowers, and then a bee showed up for a modeling session.
Our Streamer Mix Sweet Pea reseeded itself from last year and the voluteers are now in bloom.

I planted 6 rows each of 2 kinds of peas. I've not been very successful with peas before, but I got these in in pretty good time.
