Ribble. 2765 (CRN858). Leyland Titan PD2/3 - Leyland. {1950}. Seen at the Steamport Transport Museum, Southport, 13 November 1974. The museum closed in 1999 and the collections were dispersed. It is understood from postings on the web that CRN858 no longer exists.

It’s a 1967 AEC Regent 5 and the programme of the event said this about it:

 

MDJ 918E AEC REGENT 5 M.C.W. 1967. Entered by D. Hillan, St. Helens, Merseyside. New to St. Helens Corporation as No. 58, this bus also holds the distinction of being the last double decker supplied to this undertaking.

Preserved Wallasey Corporation Metro-Cammell bodied Leyland Titan PD2 54, AHF 850 taking part in a heritage running day in Birkenhead.

Leyland Titan PD2 KGK 529 is seen here at the Merthyr show after a long journey from England on 04/09/11.

 

This old girl was new in 1949 to London transport but looks like she was new in 2004 - she was in immaculate condition!

Leyland PD2/40 new in May 1958, OCO502 was purchased by the Plymouth City Transport Preservation Group at Auction in Sept 2012. Seen at David Clarke Commercial repairs at Buckfastleigh. The underside and brakes have been repaired, and she drives. To be used as a before restoration exhibit later this year. 11th July 2013

Upon which I have ridden many a mile. They were the buses of choice of Maidstone for many years. This topless model used to serve Eastbourne until arriving here

Lynn Street Parking Ground - 7/1/1978

Two cardboard models. The Park Royal-bodied PD2 (right) was made in the 1970s in conjunction with my colleague Paul Thompson, and has a cast resin roof. (We sold some of these models in various operators' liveries). The Northern Counties PD2 (left) was made by me in 2007.

This Leyland PD2 was originally supplied to Eastbourne and was spotted in Lincoln on Sunday 4th November 2007 having brought a group to the Lincolnshire Vintage Vehicle Society Open Day.

This is the bus I passed my PSV driving test in.

It was run by Wallace Transport who were based in Shepherds Bush, London. Date was 1983.

GCM 150E.

Salford 254 Leyland PD2/40 carries a Metro Cammell Weyman bodywork and entered service in March 1966.

Seen at the Leyland PD2 60th anniversary event at the Museum of Transport, Manchester.
