This plant is almost 30 years old.... it started out as a very small ficus when I was learning how to create my own bonsai plant...
it's in a small rectangular and shallow bowl and the roots have grown out of the pot.... and still as healthy as ever with lots of twists and turns!!

The building, owned by Japanese financial services company the Nomura Group, is London's first carbon neutral building. The formal gardens feature hedges, shrubs, herbaceous plants, ferns, herbs and grasses.
The kitchen garden is made up of 12 vegetable beds, which are managed voluntarily by the building's switchboard team. The edible garden has about 25 varieties of vegetables and flowers, used daily by the company's chefs. The surplus is offered for sale to staff, with profits donated to charity.

It's called the "Castroviejo Site" (ESP: "Paraje de Castroviejo") and it's a hill where erosion by wind and water has created beautiful rock formations, making it well worth a visit.
It's an ideal place for hikers, or simply for anyone who enjoys taking a walk and appreciating the natural scenery.
The "Paraje de Castroviejo" site is located three kilometers in a straight line north of the town of Duruelo de la Sierra and just 4 kilometers southwest of the source of the Duero River, in the province of Soria, in the region of Castilla y León, Spain.

Lo llaman "Paraje de Castroviejo" y se trata de una colina donde la erosión del agua y del aire han creado bellas formas y que merece la pena visitar.
Es un lugar ideal para los que hacen senderismo, o simplemente si nos apetece dar un paseo y disfrutar del lugar.
El "Paraje de Castroviejo" se encuentra a tres kilómetros en línea recta al norte del la localidad de Duruelo de la Sierra y a sólo 4 kilómetros al suroeste del nacimiento del río Duero, en la provincia de Soria, región de Castilla y León, España.

The self-proclaimed Republic of Užupis is the bohemian and artistic district of Vilnius. It has its own anthem, its constitution, its president, its bishop, two churches, the Bernadins cemetery and seven bridges. Užupis is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Vilnius and dates back to the 16th century. It was once the poorest area of the city where workers lived and where there was a red light district. During the Soviet era, the authorities abandoned Užupis, and the neighborhood quickly became one of the most infamous in the city. Since Lithuania regained its independence in 1991, artists have come there to take advantage of the low cost of accommodation. In addition, the art academy is located on the other side of the Jardins Bernardin bridge. Nowadays, the thriving creative community regularly organizes fashion festivals, concerts, exhibitions and poetry evenings.
La République autoproclamée d'Užupis est le quartier bohème et artistique de Vilnius. Elle a son propre hymne, sa constitution, son président, son évêque, deux églises, le cimetière des Bernadins et sept ponts. Impressive view of the Castle and the town of Atienza, province of Guadalajara, Spain, from a hill located to the west with a slight elevation above.
HISTORY: Atienza, the ancient Celtiberian Thytia, is named by the Latin chroniclers as one of the points of hardest resistance of the Celtiberians to the attack of the Roman invaders.
Only when Numancia and Termancia fell, could the Roman Caesars say that the old Atienza had been made theirs.
Here the Romans put their watchtower, and later the Arabs made Atienza one of their strongest enclaves of resistance against the Christian neighbors in the Reconquest.
Battles arose throughout the Middle Ages around this Muslim castle, with which Rodrigo Díaz de Vivar did not want to engage in combat as he considered it a "peña mui fuert" (a very strong rock). Between the years 870-874 it was reconquered by Alfonso III the Great, passing again to the Moors shortly after.
The castle frequently changed hands between Muslims (Arabs or Moors) and European Christians until it was finally taken by Alfonso VI in 1085.
Its uses were varied, from a prison for nobles to the home of the Bourbon king Felipe V.
In the 19th century, specifically in the year 1811, its deterioration and ruin began, remaining in that state until today.
DESCRIPTION: Today the castle consists of a tower and an inner enclosure 130 m by 30 m.
The arched entrance is flanked by two square towers.
There are two covered cisterns in the enclosure.
There is a fireplace on the upper floor of the main tower.
Originally the castle had four storeys as well as tunnels which connected it with churches in the town.
It was protected by two walls, one connecting the main tower to the entrance, the other protecting the rock itself.
GAME OF THRONES: In the series "Game of Thrones" areas of the castle were used as part of the plot.

Impresionante vista del Castillo y de la localidad de Atienza, provincia de Guadalajara, España, desde una colina situada al oeste con una ligera elevación superior.
HISTORIA: Atienza, la antigua Thytia celtíbera, es nombrada por los cronistas latinos como uno de los puntos de más ardua resistencia de los celtíberos al ataque de los invasores romanos.
Solamente cuando cayeron Numancia y Termancia, pudieron los césares romanos decir que la vieja Atienza había sido hecha suya.
Aquí pusieron los romanos su atalaya, y luego los árabes hicieron de Atienza uno de sus más fuertes enclaves de resistencia contra los vecinos cristianos en la Reconquista.
En torno a este castillo musulmán, con el que Rodrigo Díaz de Vivar no quiso entablar combate al considerarlo como una "peña mui fuert"(a very strong rock), surgieron las batallas a lo largo de toda la Edad Media.
