Not sure if this guy puts me in a Christmas spirit.
Taken with Takumar 135mm 3.5 Preset version. Wide open, not bad for a 60yrs old lens.
"When you enter a grove peopled with ancient trees, higher than the ordinary, and shutting out the sky with their thickly inter-twined branches, do not the stately shadows of the wood, the stillness of the place, and the awful gloom of this doomed cavern then strike you with the presence of a deity?"

Another vertical panoramic shot to show the granite pebbles on the beach, and some of the formative dark and light sand patterns that start to emerge at the edge of the pebbles. I caught a nice sliver of sunlight out on Eigg in the background too. (zoom in to the shot). I overheard the leader of a geological workshop group on the beach explain that this most varied mix of rocks arrived at this location when the Skye volcano spat out the rocks, flying through the sky. That must have been some sight 60 million years ago!
Someone leans on the balcony's edge and looks out over Crossharbour Plaza.

A collection of my own photos, and an amazing shot of a leopard (taken by Mike Biggs), while we were on safari in South Africa last year. An adventure we will never forget!

I can't thank you enough, guys.
This photo didn't make it onto my storyboard but I like it. Too much b&w the past few days - need some colour.

The drums of Africa still beat in my heart
— Mary Bethune
It's been several decades since I visited Kenya, Africa, but there are certain memories that still remain fairly vivid...like the sounds of the night, frightening shrieks of animals in the distance, that froze me to my bed. The bed in the small hut we stayed at for a couple of days was surrounded by white mosquito netting. It did not provide much protection, I thought, from those wild howls of death that awakened me. I pinched myself, literally, to see if I was in a vivid dream. Yet Africa was by far the country I would most likely want to return to. I cannot describe the fascination, the magic of that continent. It has to be experienced first hand.
Beryl Markham said it best for me: Africa is mystic; it is wild; it is a sweltering inferno; it is a photographer’s paradise, a hunter’s Valhalla, an escapist’s Utopia. It is what you will, and it withstands all interpretations. It is the last vestige of a dead world or the cradle of a shiny new one. To a lot of people, as to myself, it is just home.

LOL...I'm so bored...can't wait for the weather to brighten up...it's been gray and gloomy for quite some time.
