A morning on Queen Charlotte Drive watching the sun rise behind Mt Cawte. The locked camera settings give it the holy feel as the increasing power of the sun floods the screen with light. Managed to keep the details of dancing clouds in the foreground, but still does not do justice to experiencing such beauty with real eyes. Twice a day we can watch this colorful spectacle on natures cinema with plenty of empty seats and 100% free!

Looking up at the night sky at the billions of specks of light, is it possible that there is other life out there? Once you realize that our sun is a star just like most of those little dots passing by... all our problems and solutions just seem insignificant. We're either really special, or not special at all. Regardless, we're all humans and at the moment all we've got is this little blue piece of dust. We should probably do our best to take care of it.

Week 3/52, 2016
This week’s theme for my 52 project is “Out of Focus.” I always find this a challenging theme to do well. I decided I wanted to do something with my glasses. I usually wear contacts, but I can actually see much better with the glasses. This is the shot I decided to use for my project. I almost didn’t use it because it’s fairly complex. Through the glasses, you can primarily see books which are reflecting off a glass coffee table.
It seemed out of place to see a
Great Blue Heron sitting in thids partially frozen stream in the middle of winter.
It's that time of the year and a little rest to recharge the body most certainly helps.....
