This is my AE1 that I purchased in 1980 it has been retired for over 15 years. I took it out of retirement this past weekend and shot a role of Film. It will be interesting to see the results.
run across the broken conduit line that is the plug in for lights in the Honor Heights Park, looks like a dark few days around these trees.

Candid street photography from Glasgow, Scotland. If this is what going out feels like then I would rather stay in! Enjoy!
Every adolescent boy's dream .. .and most of these classic cars are owned by boys in their 60s and 70s. ..
This cardinal sat long enough for me to photograph him before flying off to another tree. He really stood out against the blue sky, making for a great photo !

For the Group Life is a Rainbow. The colour is Light Green.
(no. 3 of the light green sequence)
And HCS too!
I found this miniature shoe in the thrift shop. It must have been high fashion footwear in Victorian Britain, with its lace trim and embroidery. I love its elegant shape! Together with some faded hydrangea flowers it makes my 3rd Light Green entry. There's a previous shot I took of the shoe in the first comment field.

Back with Flickr today, and hopefully more regularly soon. It's been a learning curve, moving from Windows XP to Windows 10 - and I have still got a foot in each camp (maybe why I chose a shoe for today!!) Bedtime reading is still "Windows 10 for Dummies" and there's a lot more to figure out as I try to find my way round an operating system that seems to have been designed for a playful teenager on a tablet rather than an adult wanting a work PC.

This male Swainson's Hawk was out on one of his hunting poles early morning scouting meals for his family. He was not overly concerned about me at all so provided some good looks. This was about as dramatic as it got so after a bit just left him alone and carried on.
A few weeks back I spotted some poppies in a small patch , I thought I would have a closer look on my way to work Yesterday . So after negotiating a barbed wire fence I found they were very few and a bit far from the edge of the field, My old 90 - 300 mm lens is a bit long in the tooth now and I don`t really think what I got with it very good, but i`m yet to try editing those shots, but I did find one or two close to me and in this case really happy with what I got , Hope you like it my shot of the day I think.

My overarching life motto that leads me to live my dreams: Live with intention, seek beauty, love wholly, and embrace spontaneity.

Sunset from Many Glacier, Glacier National Park.
We went to the many glacier hotel to have dinner and watch this sunset. I probably burned as many calories as I ate with all the times I went back outside to the lake to take more photos! After a 10 mile hike that day you would think food would come first in priorities, but you're all photographers so I'm sure you understand my choices. :)
Compositionally Challenged Week 37 - Silhouettes
The glass is a dark golden brown. I have it sitting on top of a gift box with the orange translucent acrylic behind lit with a task light. The vignetting is as shot, none added in post. : )
Bryant Park, a narrow strip of green space near downtown White Rock, BC.
A small slender maple tree was dwarfed by the surrounding tall thick evergreens, despite its "miniature" status, it stood out from all the other trees - due to its colourful foliage.

Yesterday it snowed.... a lot! After seeing snow fall seemingly everywhere else but here these last few weeks, I couldn't be happier. As I took a bimble in my local area, it was lovely to see the joy on people's faces. Something which has sadly been in short supply these last 10 months. It was just what we needed to lift our spirits.
Needless to say, the camera came along and some images were taken. I haven't had a chance to properly look through them all, but here's one which I quite liked.
More to come as I work my way through the images.
