This profound mass of staples was difficult to photograph on bright days because they were covered with a heavy layer of black paint or tar. I tried shadow priority metering and got close enough for this.

Grandma's weaving was the starting point, and antique processing (via Silver EFX) made me wish for a more Clint Eastwood style hat.

美的形態を表現するとき、写真撮影は、そのままを機械的に撮る。
現実の世界は色彩にあふれている。だから、白黒の作品は、すでにそれだけで、不自然なものである。カメラが製造された当時、白黒しか撮れなかったのは、機械技術が未熟だったからである。現代では、白黒作品は、意図的で不自然なものがある。
にもかかわらず、白黒にしたのは、形態美がより強調されるわけで、色彩による幻惑を防ぐためである。つまりは、私は現実の脚の曲線美にそれだけ価値を認めている。ごまかしのない、現実そのままの脚の曲線を現実に即して探求している。美を表現するのではなく、なぜ美として感じるのかを、現実の脚で、探求し検証しているのである。

形態が認識できれば、それで十分である。それはあった。そして、ある。

現代美術は頭高手低である。
頭でっかちで、言葉で説明するばかりで、肝心の作品は、作者の独りよがりにすぎないと、私は思う。
美術作品に、いわゆるコンセプトなんて必要ない。美術作品は思想ではない。感性である。美は見ればわかる。見て、美的感情が生じなければ、それは美ではない。
さて、この作品は、美しい。だから、美的価値がある。見てすぐに美を感じさせない作品は、美術ではない。思い込みである。
現代美術は、見るものでなく、説明するものとなった。言葉だけが先行して、作品それ自体が希薄なのだ。困ったことだが、安易に流れるのが、そして迷いに迷うのが、人の常である。

動画は思考を縛るものだ。静止画は、つまり写真は、思考を解き放す。
この、一見たくましい脚からは、何が想像できるだろうか。
ある種の美は、動きと力とから、生まれる。その力が内在する証拠を、眼前に見る。それは快感なのである。
美は快感の糸口である。

美は均整・均衡にあるとは、つまりは平均にあるということだ。
1000人の顔を合体し平均させると、最も美しい顔が出来上がる。
美しい脚の形とは、多くの脚の形を、平均した脚である。 白黒にした。

Details
This modified Harris Shutter Effect image generates colored "ghosts" on a black background. Things that move and other differences between three more-or-less sequential photos are emphasized while static features turn black.

美脚, 美しい脚,The Fine Art of Photography : 網タイツの似合う脚がある。脚のラインがシャープで細く、長すぎない脚である。
美しい脚は、細い脚が多いが、長さは、それほど関係ない。
むしろ、短くて形の良い脚が、美しく感じることが多い。

美しい脚の形になるために, 美脚な太ももの作り方：太ももは撮影しやすい場所である。理由は、その部分だけを見ても、一応の作品になるからである。しかしながら、美脚の本質は、脚全体のラインにあるから、太ももだけの作品は、ある意味、ごまかしともいえるだろう。

Technical trivia
Making the best of a bad situation with a small-sensor compact camera (F 2.0, 1/6 sec, 1600 ISO). There is blurring due to speed, much noise due to high ISO, and very narrow dynamic range due to dim lighting. The original could not have much color info so B&W was envisioned. Contrast was enhanced by partial palette replacement (Topaz Restyle, Black with pop of gray preset chosen to enhance foggy aura around lights, 20% normal blending mode.) The image still appeared rough so grain was addressed (Google's FREE Nik collection SilverEFX pro, fine art preset) then noise in the dark areas was reduced (Noiseware pro, default preset).
