An analysis on what comes to mind when I hear the word "Origins". The font selected was meant to make the page look aesthetically thematic, but in hindsight, it may be a little bit harder to read. I can read it after few mistakes, so I believe it should be okay.

This is a sunrise from Baker Lake in Great Basin National Park. The Hike to the lake is amazing! You start in a high desert environment and as you walk the trail you enter a lush, green forest similar to something one would see in the Pacific Northwest. From there you switchback towards 10k feet and boom, you are at the base of an amazing cirque. This shot was taken with my back to Baker Peak looking east. For this image I woke up at about 5am to set up the shot. At first I thought the reflection would be ruined as the trout in the lake were going nuts during their morning feed. Luckily they stopped long enough to give me this image.

check out the vintage cars! This critter was on Rt.40 right outside of Baltimore back then. I suppose I was aware of Ed Ruscha's photos and I loved pop art of course. I have no memory of what the photography teacher thought of them...

A wild baboon with newborn baby. We were very lucky to happen upon this scene mere minutes after she had given birth. We watched them for quite awhile, as she cleaned up the area and the baby began trying to open its eyes. Cape Point, South Africa.

Origins Kids #lasttenday

How do we want to get around in the future? Do we want to get from point A to point B as fast as we can or in a way that is as environmentally friendly as possible—or both? We will use simple materials (like balloons and wooden wheels) to demonstrate and experiment with basic technical phenomena like propulsion. Then, creative youngsters can try their hands at building futuristic vehicles of their own.

Mattel Origins

I lucked out and got him at a comic book store.

I never got Snake Face or Squeeeze.

As an adult, I managed to get a vintage Squeeeze.

And am happy to have this Origins version of Snake Face.

Since I didn't want him bad enough to pay the big money for a vintage figure....

Back in the day, I thought the snakes head feature with his gaze turning men to stone was dumb. A male version of Medusa ? I thought it obviously would have been a better idea to have made a Medusa like Snake Woman figure.

We had Teela, Evilyn and the Sorceress. It would have been cool to have a Snake woman to add in from the Snake Men lineage .

Now, having this Snake Face in hand, it is a cool figure !

Mattel with the Origins line, has made a Snake woman to go along with the Snake Men. She doesn't have the snakes head. But does have an alternate lower body of a snake. Or tail end.

Which is a Gorgon like feature.

Her name is Lady Slither.

Of course she was a Mattel Creations exclusive and sold out

quickly at $28 a figure . And, currently, is on Ebay at the lowest price starting around $ 60 dollars !

Grrrrr !
