Big thanks to everyone that came out and supported me at the opening of my solo print show "Urban Origins" at Split Obsession in Hawaii! You all made me feel extra welcomed and special! Nothing beats Hawaiian hospitality!

I got this shirt on my first trip to Origin--bought it from the company store.

The origins of the fair related to St Giles' Church at the north end of St Giles'. This was originally completed in 1120, but the church was not actually consecrated until 1200, by St Hugh of Lincoln, a Carthusian monk and bishop. As part of the commemoration of the consecration, St Giles' Fair was established. The fair continues to this day, nowadays as a funfair, held on the Monday and Tuesday after the Sunday following 1 September, which is St Giles' Day.Autumn 2012

Pueblo Nuevo presents, ORIGIN, the first solo exhibit by Oree Original (aka Daniel Jimenez). This new series of paintings are intensely bright, kaleidoscope-like puzzles that evoke pre-Columbian iconography remixed with Oree's personal mythology of our universe. Triangles, circles, squares and lines are used to construct complicated hypnotic patterns which form larger entities. Different combinations of these basic shapes, coupled with the vibrating relationships of solid colors give Oree's creations a seemingly infinite life with endless possibilities of their origins.
Born and raised in East Los Angeles, Oree moved to the Bay Area to begin an internship with Pueblo Nuevo and continue building on a career as a self taught visual artist. Currently residing in Berkeley, Oree has gained quite a reputation on dance floors of nightclubs and house parties all over the Bay. Only being kicked out of a handful of venues, he continues to steal hearts with his impeccable flowing locks.

L'origine du nom La Flèche est incertaine. L'historien Jacques Termeau, dans le Cahier fléchois n° 9, p. 5-11., a recensé plusieurs hypothèses dont la plus probable est liée à l'ancien nom latin fixa signifiant « fichée », c'est-à-dire pierre fichée en terre. En effet, La Flèche était une ville limite aux confins du Maine et de l'Anjou et un ancien mégalithe de bornage aurait donné ce nom de Fixa que l'on retrouve dans les anciens manuscrits sous la forme complète Fixa andegavorum, souvent traduite postérieurement par La Flèche en Anjou mais qui signifiait proprement la Limite d'Anjou.
Au Moyen Âge, La Flèche est une paroisse du diocèse d'Angers et à ce titre fait partie intégrante de la province d'Anjou et plus précisément du Haut-Anjou, nommé également le Maine angevin.
En 1343, le sel devient un monopole d'État par une ordonnance du roi Philippe VI de Valois, qui institue la gabelle, la taxe sur le sel. L'Anjou fait partie des pays de « grande gabelle » et comprend seize tribunaux spéciaux ou « greniers à sel », dont celui de La Flèche.
La Flèche fut à la tête d'une sénéchaussée angevine sous l'Ancien Régime : la sénéchaussée de La Flèche, dépendante de la sénéchaussée principale d'Angers.
En 1603, Guillaume Fouquet de la Varenne, seigneur de La Flèche, puis de Sainte-Suzanne (Mayenne) et d’Angers, ami d’Henri IV, contribue à l’embellissement et à la diversification des fonctions de la cité angevine. Henri IV fonde un collège dont la direction fut confiée aux Jésuites. Ceux-ci furent expulsés en 1762 et le collège devint une « École de cadets » en 1764, préparatoire à l'École militaire de Paris.
On August 6th, 2016, Grayslake residents Josh Schneider and Matt Kozak helped organize "Spikefest," the first ever Spikeball tournament in Grayslake. 43 teams came from as far as Mammoth Lakes, CA and as local as Grayslake, IL to raise money for “Oasis for Orphans” and compete for prizes that included gift certificates, Spikeball sets, and lots of other sponsored items. The winning team was “Origin Oblivion” from Chicago, IL consisting of Matthew Bohnen and Joey Hafertepe. At the time, Origin Oblivion was ranked 121st in the country with 38 tournament points. They are part of Origin Roundnet, which has teams ranked 1st, 6th, and 7th in the nation. 2nd place was "Tetelestai" from Chicago, IL with Logan Cornelius and Jesse Throw. Third was "Bromigo Spikes" from Chicago, IL with Trent Weller and Zac Nabhan. Fourth place was “Origin Rezurrection” from Mt. Prospect, IL with Tony Gottuso and Ben Smith.

ORIGINES JURIDICIALES concludes with a “Chronica” – a chart with entries for every year from 1067 through 1680. The Chronica records the name of England’s ruler along with information about lawyers and the legal system for that year. Several spectacular engraved portraits are included, including the portrait of Edward Coke shown here.
