L'opera è composta da autentica natura, di terra, roccia, corteccia e rami, nulla è stato violato nella sua bellezza naturale

Il titolo dell'opera è una promessa per gli animi umili, l'opera descrive ai piedi di Cristo la terra arida, frammenti di un mondo ormai perso, di valori dimenticati, piedi nudi trattenuti dalla terra dove il Cristo si trascina da un lungo sospiro d'amore, ormai stanco nelle sue vertebre ma mai abbandonerà i suoi fratelli ciechi e sordi li dove si fece flagellar la vita per amor salvezza loro. Nella arida terra non abbandona lo spirito dell'amor suo, nel candido manto accarezza i colori suoi, come dal nulla si generò l'universo, predominante divino, si tinge d'azzurro il mare e il cielo nel manto della divina madre, di terra si forgia la tunica sfiorandogli il capo, rinasce in un gesto dove lui riposa, vita, speranza e pietà. Dalle acque risorge la terra a nuova linfa in alberi rinsecchiti, nel suo limpido sguardo di pace, una speranza mai dismessa, che l'uomo possa guardare il suo prossimo come se stesso, e accarezzare con l'anima il gesto del pettirosso che con audace sensibilità ebbe pietà macchiandosi il petto con il sangue di Cristo, che concede a noi il perdono come al pettirosso il suo colore. Come il fluire delle acque non possa mai spegnere il frammento di luce che c'è ancora in noi. Umiltà, perdono e valori sono l'anagramma del risorgimento e al rinnovamento di vita, un piccolo seme da

Matrioška (in lingua russa матрёшка) è il termine con cui si definisce il caratteristico insieme di bambole di origine russa che si compone di pezzi di diverse dimensioni realizzati in legno, ognuno dei quali è inseribile in uno di formato più grande. Ogni pezzo si divide in due parti ed è vuoto al suo interno, salvo il più piccolo che si chiama "seme". La bambolina più grande si chiama invece "madre".
È il souvenir russo per eccellenza ed un simbolo dell'arte popolare di questo paese.
La prima matrioška di cui si ha notizia risale alla fine del XIX secolo, un periodo che per la Russia fu, oltre che di grandi mutamenti sul piano sociale, epoca di grande sviluppo economico e culturale.
Nell'anno 1900, all'Esposizione mondiale di Parigi, la matrioška fu premiata e riconosciuta come simbolo della tradizione russa per la sua popolarità in tutto il mondo. Da allora ha rispecchiato nella sua espressione artistica la vita e la storia della Russia.
Item on display at the “Gastronomy development through collective marks and appellations of origin” exhibition held on the sidelines of the Assemblies of WIPO Member States, which met from September 24 to October 2, 2018.
Co-organized by WIPO and the government of Peru, the exhibition showed how intellectual property protection helps improve the quality of life of rural communities, local producers and small and medium-sized enterprises.
The exhibition was part of a larger cultural event that also featured Peruvian dance performances.

Born at Rome (Falacrina) in AD 9, of humble origins, Vespasian displayed great military skill at an early age. He had taken part in the invasion of Britain in AD 43, and, with his son Titus, put down a Jewish uprising in AD 67 (The First Jewish War against Rome, AD 66-70). The Colosseum in Rome was built with the spoils of that war. He brought order to Rome after a period of Civil Wars, and died in AD 79 (thus aged about 70).

Le bâtiment conçu par Daniel J. Crighton, architecte montréalais d’origine écossaise, et construit par la United Amusement Corporation, une division de Famous Players, a servi de salle de cinéma et de spectacles jusqu'en 1980. Il demeure aujourd’hui le seul théâtre d’atmosphère au Canada à avoir conservé son intégrité architecturale. Sa valeur patrimoniale tient principalement à la qualité et à la richesse du décor intérieur demeuré quasi inchangé depuis la construction du bâtiment. Créé par le décorateur intérieur Emmanuel Briffa, qui a signé le décor d'une soixantaine de cinémas au Canada, il est particulièrement spectaculaire. La salle qui comptait à l'origine 1 700 sièges, dont 1 150 au parterre et 550 au balcon, peut désormais accueillir 1 200 personnes. Le décor s'inspire du sud de l'Espagne, d'où le nom Granada.

Montréal, ancienne métropole du Canada, était équipée de théâtres et de cinémas comme nulle autre ville au pays. Les années 1970 ont rapidement effrité cet héritage.

Crighton s'installe au Canada à la fin des années 1890. Pendant les deux années qu'il passe comme employé de l'architecte new-yorkais Bruce Price, il participe notamment à l'élaboration du projet du Château Frontenac à Québec, puis de celui de l'hôtel et de la gare Viger à Montréal. Par la suite, il travaille pendant neuf ans pour les architectes Edward et William Sutherland Maxwell et il collabore alors, entre autres, à l'agrandissement de la gare Windsor.
Crighton est reconnu pour avoir conçu plusieurs cinémas de la United Amusement Corporation Limited à Montréal, dont le Westmount (1918). On lui doit également la réalisation du théâtre Capitol à Trois-Rivières (1927). L'architecte dessine également les plans de rénovation du cinéma Corona à Montréal (1938) dont la façade.

Art and utility—not necessarily a harmonious pairing. An essential element of artistic freedom is the right to think up and make things that are at first glance totally useless. Designers and technologists are the ones who helpfully intervene in human-machine coexistence. But only artistic confrontations that break out of the confines of practical considerations produce what is truly unexpected and really new. The eminently useful useless is thus the driving force behind the development of the works featured in this exhibition by Linz Art University’s Interface Cultures program.

Origin not certain - possibly from the works of Charles Keyworth, Wadsley Bridge, Sheffield as the two examples I have discovered both came from the north Sheffield area.

Rostov La Grande 1995: il cremilno, costruzione realizzata fra il 1670 e il 1690. La città ha origini molto antiche: viene citata per la prima volta in una Cronaca dell'862. Celebrate five years of intellectual stimulation and excitement with the Origins Project at Great Debate Transcending Our Origins: Violence, Humanity, and the Future.
The first panel of the evening, The Origins of Violence, will feature scholars and writers Steven Pinker, Richard Wrangham, Erica Chenoweth, Adrian Raine, John Mueller and Sarah Mathew discussing the development of violence from the brain to world wars.
The second panel, The Future: From Medicine and Synthetic Biology to Machine Intelligence, will feature scientists and notable experts Richard Dawkins, Craig Venter, Kim Stanley Robinson, Esther Dyson, Eric Horvitz, George Poste and Randolph Nesse discussing the future of new biomedical and robotic technologies and their impact on humanity. The evening will be moderated by Lawrence Krauss.

Built in 1899 to Karl Benz system, this Dog Cart took part in the inaugral London to Brighton and again in 2003 when it was defeated by the appalling weather conditions
Karl Benz is widely regarded as the father of the car, or farther of the auromobile industry a German engine designer and automotive engineer. His Benz Patent Motorcar from 1885 is considered the worlds first practical modern automobile to be put into series production. He received a patent for the motorcar in 1886, the same year he first publicly drove the Benz Patent-Motorwagen. His company Benz & Cie., based in Mannheim, was the world's first automobile plant and largest of its day. In 1926, it merged with Daimler Motoren Gesellschaft to form Daimler-Benz, which produces the Mercedes-Benz among other brands.

Silver epergne formed of a central oval tureen elaborately chased and applied with foliage, scrolls, trophies and Ceres masks, raised on four foliate scroll supports terminating in shells, surmounted by a removable shaped oval dish with foliate scroll rim, flat-chased with a band of scrolling foliage enclosing engraved Earl's armorials, the sides fitted with four scrolling branches. In all, consisting of 18 parts: A) body; B) central basket; C-F) 4 salvers; G-J) 4 arms; K-N) 4 salvers with arms; and O-R) 4 plugs.

First used in England in the 1720s, the epergne quickly became the center of attention on the tables of the wealthy. George Wickes supplied this grand example complete with its original plateau, to Joseph Leeson for Russborough, Leeson's new country house near Dublin, Ireland.

come in. So the next best thing is to take pictures to save for posterity ....
Most of the Concept designs for the characters I like too, of course. So I like that Mattel is doing figures based on the original or concept ideas .
Mattel has taken He-Man & the Masters of the Universe characters into many different scales and lines.
I like a lot of them. But for cost and storage reasons,
I can't collect them all.
But the Origins line gets me !
The same style as the original figures.
But with more articulation. Yes !
