60° Origami Modulars (Maria Sinayskaya)

squares, 12, 5, 4 units, no glue

The units in the top picture are of different sizes (the farthest is the biggest). I have 5 such units actually, but folding all of those does not make much sense:)

Origami paper by Peter Keller

今天,我做了一次折叠,以此来检验“CP”,我觉得"CP‘的设定没有什么问题。

我认为“它”应该是一个笑脸;)

Designed and folded by Mindaugas Cesnavicius (me).

Totally random !!

Designed and folded by me from 25 cm square of tracing paper

Final length : ~8-10 cm

Many origami spiders have been designed and folded in the past - Mr. Lang's tarantula, Mr. Brian Chan's Wolf spider , Black Widow by Mr. Petr(origamiPete), Kota Imai's Whip spider- all awesome among many others ! Some of them I could never fold ...so I tried something different :D . I already had a grid prepared..so it didn't take that much time.

Hope you guys like it !

This is one of my latest models from my 365-day origami challenge on Instagram.

Folded from a single rectangle. I've colored the model using acrylic, creating a vivid aged metal feel - allowing for more depth and aliveness.

There's something about the textures I can't put my finger on but I just love the feeling of it!

Designed and folded by myself from one uncut square of Lokta paper

-Tried out acrylic paint for the first time. Gold worked really well on this black tissue foil and gives the fold a bronze effect!

Designed by Ronald Koh, and folded by me from 30cm tissue foil.

Origami Bulbasaur folded and designed by me.

Folded from a square piece of paper (6inch x 6inch)

Designed and folded by Mindaugas Cesnavicius (me).

This was going to be just another attempt at remembering how to fold this model and that's why I chose this ordinary paper, but I was able to do it from start to end.

Folded from a square of colored copy paper of 20 cm on the side.

And most importantly, my piece is inspired by an origami master NGUYỄN Hùng Cường who designed design this fantastic origami figure.

I'm pretty happy with the color changes in this model.

Origami Star (Maria Sinayskaya)

A rectangles, 8 units, no glue

A new design on an old base (I added a couple of folds to the inner part as well, in the most simple and obvious "configuration" it didn't hold well. Now it does.)

Origami Kusudama (Maria Sinayskaya)

rectangles (1:3), 30 units, no glue

The unit is a bit too thin for my liking, doesn't hold the shape very well. Probably will work better from 2:3 rectangle.

I haven’t had time to prepare any current-year-related model this year, so here’s an older model of a completely different kind: a simple ladybug with color change.

Easter is coming so with fluffy bunnies and cute chickens aplenty, it’s good to also add this fish to the pack.

This model is folded from a single strip of paper (1:8√2). The paper is not cut or glued — instead two notches are folded which allow the strip to intersect itself. I have dubbed this approach the Cross Lap Unit due to the similarity to the eponymous joint used in woodworking. A Crease Pattern (CP) is available here. Many other shapes can be folded in a similar fashion, both from single sheets as well as multi-module assemblies.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!

I made this origami heart by dismantling one given to me by a student earlier this school year (I was able to put it back together again. I WOULD put a link to the original heart she gave me, which I had uploaded to my flog.....except I'm having difficulties accessing my Fotolog account....)

This origami heart slideshow set is for mo177o who saw the original posting on my Fotolog account and asked me how to make one....

(no guarantees on whether you can actually make one based on my photos, hee hee! I did my best to be as clear as I could in the photos/captions....)
