I saw this guy sitting in the street in Brixton making some Origami animals .
I asked him where he was from but he just giggled nervously . I told him his origami was great and tried to find out some more about him but mostly he just laughed and it was difficult to make out what he was saying . Anyhow he seemed cheerful enough just sitting there making his paper animals and was happy that I asked if I could photograph one .

Wow, this model is SO AWESOME! I have been wanting to fold it even since I saw the pictures.

One square sheet of 35 cm Biotope, no cuts or glue. Stands on its own. Not as difficult to fold as I expected. The teeth especially are clever. A fantastic design.

I clipped this with four pegs in the back so I could photograph it closed like a compass. It looks nice in its relaxed state, too. Red tant, 6"

Modified and Folded by Travis Nolan
One square sheet of foil paper, 26 inches to a side, no cuts or glue as always. Same stuff I used for the Ryujin.
Cool design! Didn't realize it was a color change model, so had to make some modifications to eliminate a good portion of that. Happy with the way it came out. Don't usually use the gold side out on foil models, but tried it this time. Also modified the shaping quite a bit, into a more dragon-esque basilisk, because I thought it looked neat.

Ох и сложная же оказалась сборка! Из 12-модулей когда я ее складывала, вроде не так все печально было)))

Every so often I feel like redesigning my old models. This model is the latest update for my origami teddy bear collection. The head and body sizes of v3 are more balanced than they are in v1. By eliminating the ability to form a bow on the ear and using a new structure for the entire model, v3 also uses paper more efficiently than v1. (I'm comparing v1 and v3 because they have mostly the same details, e.g. ribbon bow on the neck and color changed feet, while v2 has clothing, too.)
I've started using Instagram and Twitter - you can now find me there as well, although I'll continue to post crease patterns here on Flickr:

Model created for a challenge with Joao Charrua with «road of life» as a theme. While I thought i was the first to design a maze in origami, Bodo Haag made me notice a maze (online) generator and an article published by Erik Demaine before me. I can at least content myself by the fact that my method doesn't use half-divisions for the grid like Demaine's, as well as a character at the start of the maze. But, I can't get certain wall combinations with my method.
