Ordinary Day
Just a day, just an, ordinary day
Just tryin' to get by
Just a boy, just an, ordinary boy but
He was looking to the sky and
As he asked if I would come along
I started to realize that everyday he finds just what he's lookin' for
And like a shooting star he shines, and he said
Take my hand, live while you can,
Don't you see your dreams lie right in the palm of your hand
And as he spoke, he spoke, ordinary words
Though they did not feel
For I felt what I had not felt before
And you'd swear those words could heal and
As I looked up into those eyes, his vision borrows mine
And I know he's no stranger
For I feel I've held him for all of time, and he said
Please come with me, see what I see
Touch the stars for time will not flee
Time will not flee, can't you see
Just a dream, just an, ordinary dream
As I wake in bed
And that boy, that ordinary boy
Was it all in my head?
Didn't he ask if I would come along
It all seemed so real, but as I looked to the door
I saw that boy standing there with a deal, and he said
Please come with me, see what I see
Touch the stars for time will not flee
Time will not flee, can't you see
Just a day, just an ordinary day
Just tryin' to get by
Just a boy, just an ordinary boy, but
He was looking to the sky

I think sometimes we forget to look at the ordinary, inconsequential things around us. And so we often miss the mystery and beauty to be found by contemplating the ordinary.
Goes together like bread and butter.
HMM!
Macro Mondays: Goes Together Like.
Bread and butter is sometimes used to mean something ordinary. When the term bread and butter was first used in the 1700s, it referred to one's basic needs. It wasn't until the 1800s that the phrase came to means one's income or livelihood.
Not strictly art but even the ordinary chairs at the Queensland Gallery of Modern Art are elegant and artistic. I managed to snap this before a guide was about to sit on it, which made her laugh.

Ordinary World
Song by Duran Duran
Came in from a rainy Thursday on the avenue
Thought I heard you talking softly
I turned on the lights, the TV, and the radio
Still I can't escape the ghost of you
What has happened to it all?
Crazy, some'd say
Where is the life that I recognise? (Gone away)
But I won't cry for yesterday, there's an ordinary world
Somehow I have to find
And as I try to make my way to the ordinary world
I will learn to survive
Passion or coincidence once prompted you to say
"Pride will tear us both apart"
Well, now pride's gone out the window
'Cross the rooftops, run away
Left me in the vacuum of my heart
What is happening to me?
Crazy, some'd say
Where is my friend when I need you most? (Gone away)
But I won't cry for yesterday, there's an ordinary world
Somehow I have to find
And as I try to make my way to the ordinary world
I will learn to survive
Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh
Ah-ah-ah
Gone away
Oh-oh
Papers in the roadside tell of suffering and greed
Fear today, forgot tomorrow
Ooh-ooh, here besides the news of holy war and holy need
Ours is just a little sorrowed talk
Just blowing away
And I don't cry for yesterday, there's an ordinary world
Somehow I have to find
And as I try to make my way to the ordinary world
I will learn to survive
I will learn to survive
(Any world is my world) I will learn to survive
(Any world is my world)
(Every world is my world)
(Every world)
Nothing out of the ordinary here, just a exfoliating sponge from the bathroom, but it does have nice swirls and texture.
HMM everyone.
The north western coast is stunning and scenes like this one abound. It is so easy to become blasé about the views as they seem to appear around every corner.
This photo was taken from the single track road that links Lochinver and the A894 near Kylesku. I believe the location is close to Ardvar. Th foreground body of water is Loch Ardbhair.
The sky had brightened a bit by the time PO-74 reached Moscow. The sun will make a few appearances on this day.

Just taping up some boxes and I thought how simple things can have visual interest.
