Križanke Church - In the 13th century, the Order of Teutonic Knights, settled at the upper end of the Novi trg square and built a church there. The only surviving item from the church is the famous relief of the Madonna of Krakovo from the church's main portal. The relief, created between 1265 and 1270, is now kept at the National Gallery of Slovenia.
The present Križanke Church was built between 1714 and 1715 by Domenico Rossi, one of the leading Venetian architects of the time. This indicates that the only church of the cross located on Slovenian territory was of great importance not only to the Knights of the Cross but also to the imperial court in Vienna, which donated interior furnishings. Side altars were painted by the court painters Martin Altomonte and Anton Schoonjans. The main altar painting, a work by Johann Michael Rottmayr which burnt down in the 19th century, was replaced by a painting by the Viennese painter Hans Canon in 1859.

With the music : Future World Music - Leap of Faith
The Ancient Green Order Of Krudhyn currently represented by two guardians ladies, Lady Guardian Of Lhariahn and Lady Guardian Of Elche, guardians of the two magical ancient forests of Krudhyn.
The two are sisters, granddaughters of the founder of the Order and both with different special powers. Lady Of Elche have the power over the atmosphere and her sister over the living creatures of the forest.
The founder of the order was an ancient and powerful Master Dharm (*) whose spirit was united to the living beings of the forest and communicate with them, their power was so strong that he became one of the Forest Oaks that he loved.
(*)The Dharms are in Krudhyn the equivalent to Druids in ancient Celtic traditions and mythology.

"Would you be quiet? This is a secret mission. Do you understand that?"
Revamp of the no-nonsense Order of Mata-Nui member who was a combiner model in 2008. Adjusted the color scheme and gave him some more personality and character while also leaning into the demon aesthetic from his original horns.
Back in 2020 I challenged myself to get back into the hobby and build a MOC a month. This was the eleventh build I finished.
Had the idea for this guy for a while and really felt like using a Miru Nuva for him for some reason. Happened to be finishing him around the time of the Karda-Nui collabs so I took a lot of inspiration from those with the characterization. Also want to mention Brick_Diamonds' Nuparu Inika revamp as a huge inspiration for the posing!
A order 66 vignette so I can get into dark times.

Palermo’s Palazzo delle Poste e Telegrafi (1929–1934)
Your frontal composition is perfect for this building because it was conceived as a demonstration of strict order and modular clarity. Designed by Angiolo Mazzoni in the language of Italian Rationalism, the post-and-telegraph headquarters asserts itself on Via Roma with a deep, temple-like portico of ten colossal columns and a heavy entablature. Behind that disciplined façade is a reinforced-concrete frame clad in locally quarried Billiemi stone, laid out with rigorous symmetry around two side courtyards. The frontality of your shot heightens the building’s serial rhythm—the equal intercolumniation, the stacked horizontal bands, and the measured void of the portico—which are all about efficiency, legibility, and civic monumentality. Even small details were designed for coherence, from the custom metalwork to the calibrated lighting, and the entrance sequence pivots around a large elliptical staircase that dramatizes movement within an otherwise tightly ordered plan.

The interiors extend this programmatic clarity into a visionary register: the Conference Room carries five Futurist panels by Benedetta Cappa Marinetti—a cycle on land, sea, air, telegraph and radio communications—made specifically for this building, with additional works by Tato and Piero Bevilacqua, plus a bronze Diana cacciatrice by Corrado Vigni. Reading the architecture through your frontal view, you’re foregrounding exactly what the project celebrates: communication, modern services, and a state-of-the-art public machine expressed through proportion, repetition, and an almost didactic symmetry—without needing any extra scenography.

Struggled with the naming of this. So with the new Star wars trailer out yesterday, i thought I'd do some different designs for the First Order. Then I thought, why not do them following on from the lengthier clone wars universe I've got going on. Though tbf, that's all too far in the past to actually affect any of the sequel trilogy stuff, but we'll gloss over that. So, this First Order is made up of (L to R):
Captain Phasma - After the destruction of the Supremacy, Phasma somehow managed to survive. Thought dead by the resistance, she was able to infiltrate the criminal underworld, donning armour obtained from a sale on a small planet named Tatooine. With her disguise, she hopes to get close enough to the resistance to learn their plans, and destroy them once and for all.
Supreme leader Hux - After Snokes death, Hux was quick to rise to power. Despite the tantrums thrown by Kylo Ren, Hux was generally accepted by the first order as its new leader.
Kylo Ren - Since Snokes death, Kylo has fallen even further into the clutches of the dark side, now influenced by another, he grows more powerful by the day, feared by his allies and foes alike.
Grand Admiral Thrawn - After regrouping with the remnants of the Empire all those years before, Thrawn was finally ready to exact his master plan: Seize control of the galaxy from the new Republic. Though it had initially shown promise, it quickly became exactly like its predecessor. The constant debates, the corruption all made it unfit to control the galaxy. It was with this that Thrawn decided a temporary alliance with the First Order would be necessary to achieve his goals.
Emperor Rae Sloane - After the exodus of Imperials from the Galaxy, Rae Sloane found herself in a predicament. Abandon the Empire she loved, and survive, or reforge herself as its leader, despite the many risks that responsibility would entail. She decided on the latter, and soon became Emperor of the Imperial remnants, preparing them for their glorious return to the galaxy. After Thrawn joined her, the two set about a plan. They agreed that powerful as the First Order was, it was disorganised, run by those she considered to be children. Hell, if Hux was in charge, everything was bound to fail. And so, Thrawn and Sloane approached the First Order, offering allegiance in wiping out the remaining New Republic forces, and the Resistance, all while secretly working on their own plan to overthrow the First Order and take control of it's vast military, properly preparing the galaxy, and the chiss ascendancy, for the crisis that Thrawn claimed was getting ever closer.
The Benefactor - A mysterious benefactor appeared shortly after Snokes death, offering guidance to Kylo Ren, offering him the knowledge he needed to seek out his enemies and destroy them once and for all. But who could this mysterious benefactor be?
So that's the First Order/Imperial allegiance. Story's not great for this one as, well, I didn't really have much of one in mind. Might be interesting to come back to, but I probably won't. I do have a resistance side put together though, so keep and eye out for that. So, as always, lemme know what you think :D
Insect scales come in all sorts of colors and shapes. These are from the elytra of a small weevil I photographed a while back (Curculionidae, see the first comment line).

The Radiated Tortoise (Geochelone radiata) is one of the most protected species of tortoise in the world. Within the reptile world, it is something of a poster child for environmental conservation. In the U.S., this means that--in order to keep them legally--one must obtain a USFWS captive bred wildlife permit, and many states require their own licenses atop this U.S. one!
The protection is helping. Today, it is likely that over 3,000 of these tortoises are living and breeding in the U.S., while civilization continues to encroach on their homelands in Madagascar.
The captively-cared for juvenile photographed here is approximately four years old and could have well more than 100 years to go!

Every traffic cone should be given an eviction order.
Eviction Notice Basics
You may need to evict a traffic cone for one reason or another. Generally considered the first step in the process, an Eviction Notice tells the cone to vacate the property. Using an Eviction Notice helps ensure that the process goes smoothly so that your traffic cone can move on, while also establishing a record of your eviction attempts in case you need to pursue further legal action.
