Yanno how fast-food places design their registers so their employees need nearly no training in taking orders? Well the Japanese have taken it to the next level ("Taking it to the next level" is a theme that keeps turning up in Japanese culture). The customers use this machine to place their orders and pay for the food before even stepping into the restaurant. Then you just hand the tag to the staff, and you receive food. Thus removing any need for the staff to actually wait on customers.
Perfect for the chronically shy, and I have to admit, very handy for the foreigner who can't read Japanese. Just order whatever looks good.
aqui o taleigo completo, foi o segundo que adorei fazer e que a cliente adorou. Gosto quando confiam em mim e me desafiam para novas coisas....
The back story:
Notes for our february 2017 meeting:
At this gathering we are going to work on our contribution to HQ’s challenge this year, titled ‘Order and Chaos’.
We are going with option 1 which is a 3D shape using ‘Order”.
All you need to bring in regard to this work, is a tapestry needle and any reference books you may have for canvas work stitches. (There will also be some there on the day).
Stitches to be used on the day include: Chequered stitch, Rhodes stitch, Rice stitch, Milanese Stitch, Diamond eyelet, Linen stitch, Leviathan stitch, Cashmere stitch, Florentine stitch, French stitch, Oblong double Tied Cross stitch, Cushion stitch, Mosaic stitch, Algerian eye stitch.
You will be given a piece of canvas with a stitch type pinned to it, and that is the one you will embroider. We are then going to use these pieces to form a five sided pyramid which will be stitched together to form a 3D shape.
All threads will be supplied for this day.
Hope you can all come on the day, to have some fun with this exercise!
I was overseas for that meeting! BUT see next piccie!
Unknown Grasshopper (Order Orthoptera) near Cabins, Chalalan Lake, Tuichi River, Madidi National; Park, Bolivia. Photographed on 28 November 2008.
I took this photo yesterday when I went to visit my Grandparents in Bird Island. I like how each graffiti letter frames one of the sections on the outside of the train. If I were to take this picture again I'd frame it better.

What does it look like?
Description
The Superb Parrot is a medium-sized parrot, with a swift and graceful flight. Its tail is long and the wings are backswept and pointed. Both male and female are mostly bright green, though the male has a bright yellow forehead and cheeks, with a scarlet band across the upper chest. The female is duller, with red thighs and patches of pink on the inner walls of the tail feathers. Both have a red iris and bright pink bill. The Superb Parrot is also known as the Barraband or Scarlet-breasted Parrot or the Green Leek.
Similar species
No other parrots are similar, though in flight it may be mistaken for a Cockatiel, Nymphicus hollandicus.
Where does it live?
Distribution
The Superb Parrot is endemic to south-eastern Australia. It is found in the Riverina area of New South Wales and Victoria, and, in winter, in northern New South Wales.
Habitat
The Superb Parrot is found along timbered waterways and nearby well-watered woodlands, especially in River Red Gums along the Murray and Murrumbidgee Rivers. They are usually seen in family parties or small flocks. They roost communally in trees.
Seasonal movements
Superb Parrots move extensively within their range, with a migration to the northern part of New South Wales in winter. Movement is from the south-western Riverina area to central and northern New South Wales along the Namoi and Macquarie Rivers.
What does it do?
Feeding
Superb Parrots feed mainly on the ground, and sometimes in the foliage of trees. They eat the seeds of grasses and plants, fruits and berries, nectar, flowers and some insects.
Breeding
Superb Parrots nest in deep hollows or hollow limbs, in large trees along watercourses, usually in River Red Gums. The eggs are laid in wood dust at the bottom of the hollow. The female alone incubates and is fed by the male while on the eggs and when the young are very small. Then both parents feed the young.

Discover history’s darkest secret in The Order: 1886, the game that re-writes history by introducing a unique vision of Victorian-Era London, where Man uses advanced technology to battle a powerful and ancient foe. In an alternate history where myths and technology co-exist, players take on the role of Sir Galahad, a hardened member of an elite order of Knights engaging in a centuries-old war that will determine the course of history forever.
Hundreds of years before the game’s version of 1886, humanity de-evolves and a subset of humans becomes the genetically different “Half-breeds.” War eventually breaks out between humans and Half-breeds for power and survival, and in order to combat these fierce enemies, a brotherhood was formed through the Knights of the Round Table – an alliance called The Order. The Knights of The Order have waged wars across centuries and sworn to defend humanity while protecting the secrets of this dark history. Strengthened by a mysterious liquid called Blackwater, the Knights of The Order are able to heal their wounds and extend their lifespans in order to engage this supernatural foe.
Through the dawn of the Industrial Revolution, The Order is now equipped with powerful weapons to turn the tide against the Half-breeds, but must also face a new threat. A rebellion emerges and the Rebels’ ranks are growing, as is their boldness, as they declare an all-out war against The Order and the government oppression it represents. Now, the Knights of The Order must face threats on all sides as they struggle to maintain peace and order.
